It is occurring more frequently - Purchased a long gun as recent as a month ago no issue. Purchase a new gun -inexplicably "delayed" with boilerplate letter as cited in previous thread. Did the same to check prior paperwork no discrepencies. I have also noticed on a LEO forum and it is happening with great frequency without explanation.

If you had your COE approved a couple of months ago, the DOJ would already have a copy of that Live Scan on file. So if you have had no LE interactions since then, I would try to contact the DOJ by phone or email to see if they can cross reference your COE to the new DROS to clarify your identity.

This is also happening to me AGAIN . bought a rifle last year in June got delayed 34 days . I have bought ammo since then with the "background check" no problems . Went in and bought a hand gun and here we go again . I have zero interactions with LE . I got lucky last time with my GS releasing on undetermined because I wasn't aware of that outcome . Man this sucks . I swear that they are doing this just to make it more difficult and time consuming in hopes that people will just give up and not buy a firearm . There really is no reason for this since I already am in the system and have not even received as much as a parking ticket since then . Makes about as much sense as making someone wait 10 days when they already own firearms . (Insert profanity here __________ _________) side note this is the 7th day . Last time I was notified on the 15th day that I was delayed . If I remember correctly the last time it went from pending then to something else then to delayed then to undetermined. Don't know if going straight to delayed is a good thing or not .
