Never had a problem. Without details nobody here can help you, but if you search this site for DROS delays you will probably find a case similar to yours. Past interactions with the police and courts, same name as a convicted criminal, recent address change are fairly common issues.

      No LEO interactions.
      No address changes.
      Perhaps name crossed over.

Run a credit check - now - just to make sure no one else is using your identity. That doesn't deal with the DROS stuff but anytime something crops up, check to see if someone is out there doing things on your name/credit. This gives you some starting point to consider because they might have done other things too.

If you are going to check yourself. What good is a cleared up DROS if someone is out there having a great time on your dime? It simple to do, doesn't cost a thing and also doesn't call up any flags.

You can do it right now and have the results in minutes. Don't depend on some credit watch system, they are mostly just revenue collection schemes.

Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?

Think past your gun, it's the last resort, the first is your brain.

Update: there's a letter from California DOJ in my mailbox, I'll have to wait to get home and see what's about.

IMPORTANT QUESTION that should have been asked at time of purchase.

Does your chosen FFL "RELEASE ON UNDETERMINED"?

Funny enough people almost never ask this until it happens to them.

                      Update:
                      I got the letter.
My info matched the one of a stolen firearm.
Must be recent since I got my COE approved a few months ago.

That is boilerplate language in a standard letter they send to people.

It says your info may have matched to a criminal record or the firearm may be stolen. You need to order a copy of your Rap Sheet ASAP.

I'm assuming they meant that the firearm in question is in their stolen firearm database. Your personal information should have nothing to do with a stolen firearm unless you were previously arrested for stealing a firearm.

In this case, you just received stolen property, so your sentence will be relatively short, maybe even probation and a 10 year firearm ownership prohibition.
