Lost firearm from middleman? Help?

I can vouch for Phil, as I've had several firearms transferred via his service over the past couple years. I won't lie, there have been a couple hiccups and instances where I've been concerned about the whereabouts of my purchases. Nobody is perfect though. Rest assured that he will make things right if you send a PM with your contact info and leave him be to complete the work. You also have to keep in mind that he's running an independent operation and working on numerous firearms. Some are more of a challenge/time consuming to "convert" than others and since he's been swamped, it makes sense that he would give priority to easier ones to clear the queue asap.

I know it sucks to wait, but you gotta be patient in this situation. If Solar Tac are being difficult, maybe have Phil install a CompMag instead? He can just ship the wrap along with your Galil so you can sell it later on. The hardest part is getting the gun into CA and successfully DROS'd. The easy part is switching to featureless once in your possession.

So I checked my message again. And this was the last message I got. This caused me confusion and had me thinking the gun must be wrong because there was no more replies after this.

Maybe skip the Galil grip fin and go straight to a KNS Precision Plastic Delete Kit and run an AR grip?

IMHO, yes you did something wrong. And your "NEXT STEP". Should be to edit your thread title. And get rid of the disparaging and untrue claim that your firearm was lost. You knew exactly where it was.

Phil is awesome and there is a reason he is busy. Wishing your son the best in the hospital! Anyone knocking him doesn't know squat about how much he has helped CA gun owners.

Sounds like solar tactical are the ones being difficult here. They want proof that it doesn’t fit!? It’s a $30-50 wrap, just send it and deal with the return shipping later.

IWI screwed the pooch when they made every single caliber and gen have a different grip style. Anyone else notice that the gun was purchased in April and the (wrong) wrap arrived in June? Just saying...

Sorry to bring this back. So I ordered a new grip wrap. Usps attempted delivery on 23 last month. It said unavailable recipient. Now sitting in post office. What should I do? Thanks for all the advices.

Since you have the notice of attempted delivery, why don't you go to the PO and pick it up?

It's too late now for OP, but the approach I've always used is to let the middleman make it compliant with whatever parts he chooses. The logistics are so much easier. No research on my end about what fits, no shipping messups, no question of inventory supplies, no possibility of wrong part numbers, no back and forth about who's providing what. Just less of a PITA for everyone involved. They make it compliant & they do it their way. There's a strong possibility that the middleman either already has the needed compliance add-on parts in stock or can get them much quicker than I can. Chances are I'm not the first person to have ordered that gun so he already knows what to install & how to install it.

That gets the gun to me much quicker, and although some parts might not be my optimal preferred option, I can switch those out later but at least I can start shooting it now.
