It is only going to get worse so be prepared. Always deal in cash and go and anything electronic can lead right back to you. Why do you think the government wants to get rid of cash and go to electronic money. Easy to track you and to wipe out any money you have with one flick of a button. I wish I had a bunch of "old leaky " boats to sell.

POLYMER80 Raided by ATF
Collapse

My local gun store sells complete, finished, serialized Polymer80 pistols. The raid may be unrelated to the 80% parts.
Edit- these are not parts assembled by the store, they are finished pistols direct from the manufacturer.Last edited by jeffyhog; 12-11-2020, 10:45 AM.Comment

The raid was over the complete build kit. This looks like a planned tactical defeat by ATF. If the frame is legal how can including our in a bundle of other legal parts make it illegal. Are we going to say "constructive possession" is now a crime for otherwise legal guns? That would make any length of pipe an illegal shotgun.
My guess is the ATF is playing the long con here. Look like they are trying to stop "ghost guns" knowingly fail and try to use that to leverage support for Congress write new laws or at least support new XOs.Comment

Back when silencer kits were a big deal everyone said the same thing. The company kept no records - but UPS did and everyone they shipped to got a visit. A friend in CT got a knock on the door. He explained that the product was junk and he tossed it in the trash. They explained how easy it was to find things hidden in an attic with a metal detector. After they left the item was disposed of.
This was a fishing expedition to gain data for law to ban 80%. They will compare all names and say look 30% of buyers are criminals.Comment

Curious as to what made that illegal. Until they were milled to receive the additional parts, it's just an oddly shaped piece of plastic. They went after the company in San Diego that had the polymer lowers with a softer embedded polymer to make milling fcg pocket easier. They were all illegal. This was years ago when the went after companies and people that thought you just had to push a button to finish an 80Comment

I think the logic was that they first created the complete lower and then filled it with resin. The argument behind an 80% lower is that it has never crossed the 80% completion threshold which these ones did and where then filled

First, I've heard of this. I've got a few 80% builds myself. This is crap.Comment

This is just the beginning lads.Comment

On those lowers it was the other way around...
Plastic that occupied the FCG space was created first, then put in the mold for the rest of the lower. Lower was injection molded around the plug.Comment
