i heard from a buddy at a LGS in sacramento that FATF has done approx 200 knock and talks in the past week for BBS kits only...

was told that if in possession of frames, keep it unmolested and its legal, if knock and talk just surrender the unmodified lower (COMPLETE BS)..

either way, all my glocks are stock OEM and doesnt really apply to me, but scary because of the complete government overreach and disregard for the 4th amendment.

i almost want to order a bunch of these on my CC, and when they come claim harassment and sue them for punitive damages, i am contacting my good friend who is now a lawyer for civil litigation. But this is a stretch and i would rather just be a good law abiding pleeb and not raise any red flags of the bidarris JBTs...

I was tempted to contact my local sheriff since hes very Pro 2A and see if he had any comments on this matter. As his previous comments on an ar15 ban and high cap magazine laws was basically "i will not send my guys to risk their lives enforcing unconstitutional laws" most of the LGS here openly tell buyers that our DA is not prosecuting gun crimes of legal gun owners, you only have to worry if you are a meth dealer or a felon in possession....our DA supports law abiding citizens and actively does not pursue criminal charges for the half dozen legal self defense scenarios that happen here every year...

However, there is a local ATF office and they did wrongly raid someone i know because he was merely talking about sears on his instagram, and someone snitched on him. He was raided but his guns were legal and not modified, last i heard case was dropped and he moved out of the state. Still shocking that merely talking about something would be PC for a warrant...

from what i am reading, just uninstall the LPK and trigger from the frame and you are good to go....get rid of the jigs so that it cannot be considered constructive possession..

completely legal to own a block of plastic.....completely legal to own glock slides and barrels if you already own a registered glock. I have two extra slides and barrels for my legally owned glocks because i wanted an RMR slide with cerakote and a fancy gold barrel lol...

i equate the plastic to those fake guns they have at LGS that are used for FSC and to educate new consumers on handgun basics..

"i just bought this fake plastic lower to practice drawing and holding a firearm"

Hopefully that person never signed for or received the BBS kit. If that person just got the lower, they are safe (for now).

There are a LOT of corrupt judges in this country. By corrupt I mean they don't follow the law, they just do what they want because their sense of self-importance makes them think they know everything.

What if the person got the lower and the completion kit separately from a third party vendor?

I don’t think that’s illegal, but I don’t think ATF cares at this point. If someone ordered a lower kit and complete slide in the same order, I would do my best to prepare for the future.

Hopefully everyone remembers to pull off all metal pieces if they decide to store it in the dirt for climate control. Rust, you know? No one wants rust to set off any alarms.

Also, hopefully they didn’t sign for any packages either. Porch pirates and dishonest delivery drivers are very common.
