I was unaware the Polymer 80 sold firearms. All I got from them was a chunk of plastic. Who knew.

GOOD thing the plans for 80% lowers aren't out there on the internet or in print, literally everywhere.

Can somebody find the BATmen some GAINFUL employment somewhere? Janitors, tool booth operators, ticket takers, elementary school teachers... SOMETHING?!

An important point here is the ATF considered some of the pistol kits to constitute 100% pistols, not an 80% or the stupid term "ghost gun".

IraqVeteran8888 has a good 'Gun Gripes' video on YouTube right now about the "ATF War on Pistol Braces".

            Check it out.

I've picked up an AR9, AR10mm and another pistol lower I plan to build with a 12" 6.5 Grendel upper. Not too worried right now, but the "bump stock ban" did set some tough legal precedent going forward.

That is interesting from the sounds of it they are considering these polymer 80 pieces to be firearms might be some weird redefining going on here

Sounds like time for a declaratory relief action

Here’s a thought, please don’t fry me over it.

Take a look at this offering:

This is being advertised as a complete firearm kit, with “machining” required to “complete” the firearm. They are not advertising it as a firearm, because it’s not; it comes with an 80% lower which is not a firearm. So, this is not a firearm, but it IS a complete firearm kit, according to their own advertisements.

I think they boned themselves with the kits. While we all understand the 80% frame is not a firearm, advertising a kit that has the intended purpose of being finished into a firearm with all parts (not tools) included DOES tangle with the idea of what is and isn’t.

I don’t think this would be possible with frames only, especially AR receivers, since the ATF has a very hard time proving to courts that a lower receiver is a firearm. The kits, especially pistol, are where they went wrong.

They didn't bone themselves. The ATF decided it wanted to invent new rules to go after them and likely their customers. It's all BS, but nothing new. It's about creating laws so confusing you can't follow them, so then they can go after you for not following the laws.

I agree man, I really do, but look at the link I provided.

contains all the necessary components to build a complete PF940C™ or PF940v2™ pistol.
That’s the entire product description. Doesn’t that, according to them, technically say they are selling guns?

So if the parts and jig were sold and shipped separately all is well?
How can parts and a jig be illegal? Even if you alread have an 80%?
Their definition of intent is not the dictionary's definition.
                            Can doesn't mean will.

I don't see any problem with buying 80% in free states. I really don't see judges issuing warrants to police for everyone who bought a polymer 80. But if you are prohibited, that could be a different story.

Thanks to the idiots who voted for Biden, this is barely the beginning of the harassment. They don't like braces, they don't like 80%, they don't like semi-auto and large capacity firearms.

Get ready for a BAN on foreign ammunition imports. They are already talking....
