Your thread is reflecting a bunch of snowflakes and that is just bad taste.

First, you did not answer the original question in post 1 (fair or foul), instead you're stating because I made a thread asked fellow Calgunner's opinion regarding a physical tip jar at a gun shop which to you is in bad taste. So I recall your actions of your own bad taste which he had to make a thread just for you to understand and see the light.

Lets get the facts straight before I linked that thread. Buyer drove over 100 miles to meet you for a PPT at RifleGear. However you had an FLA DL which RG accepts with a passport which you didn't have or have it with you at the time. PPT was turned down. Buyer asked for compensation on time and gas which you flat out refuse. Buyer made a thread asking opinions on the matter which then you back tracked saying me and the buyer are cool and donated to NRA and CGSSA.

First, you failed to get a real ID, second you failed to check with RG on their FLA id policy and just assume seller with FLA works which not the case. Therefore you caused buyer his time and gas and refuse to compensate. But once the thread was made you try to back track and cover yourself so other member will continue doing business with you.

If he didn't start that thread and explained your actions, you would probably still or continue doing the same thing. With your actions your principal, and integrity was forever lost on here with me. You claimed and did donate to NRA and CGSSA to soften to blow and I applauded you at least for that but people usually don't change. Now that's sour taste where the buyer had to make a thread to remedy your wrongs.

And when you have nothing to come back on, go with the typical snowflake routine. Either you answer the original thread question or just stay out it.

it seems tacky. but i would ignore like i do already to all tip jars i see anywhere.

the only place i begrudgingly tip is barber and if i sit down and eat inside the restaurant.

        anywhere else, nope.

          Agree with this comment!

OP, did you bring it up with the staff? Or just run off to your sewing circle to talk smack? Very feminine of you.
Don't like it, just ignore it. If it bothers you that much, bring it up to the manager /owner. Or make a big, loud, joke about it in the store.

I don't subscribe to "complaint culture." That's how liberal women and pajama boys operate, and they are ruining America.

          You're better than this OP.

On the fair side of things wages have not kept up with the cost of living, even in the Central Valley. The average worker there probably makes minimum wage, or close to it. They're just trying to make a few extra bucks and if you don't like it then don't put money in the jar.

On the foul side of things its not a restaurant, and its tacky. Pay your employees a fair living wage, especially since the average product you sell is 10% more than everyone else in the area. Don't put the burden of paying your employee fairly on me.

Begging for money in a gun store is tacky and classless. If this is the norm for this current generation of gun stores, it stinks. Again you don't answer to the original question but instead resort to trolling and name calling, how exciting is that?

Not to discount your other points but... where do you think a business gets the funds for its employees?

If the LGS had free brewed coffee, water dispenser/tea, free snacks, or once in a while free bbq for their patrons then tip jar would be ok in my opinion.

I've seen free coffee/tea, cappuccino, etc, free chocolate, cookies, etc. at many non-lgs businesses and never have I seen a tip jar.

Tipping is a scam developed by the restaurant industry.
Then the gov realized that tips are going untaxed allegedly.
Now I dont go to restaurants because they always add the 10% like I was gonna tip or sumthin.
                    Wtf

No one was "begging for money" what an absurd claim. You were free to ignore the jar. Yet you were so "offended" you ran off and posted a thread about it, instead of addressing it then and there like a man if it bothered you so much.

I have no problem with tip jars, but I'm not an easily offended millennial pajama boy.

What was the purpose of this thread? To vent your feelings like a woman? Lolz.

What a sad life, being offended by inanimate objects. Your tantrum reminds me of my baby boy when he has a poopy diaper....he's an actual baby though, not a man-child going through life being offended at everything.
Oh now you finally have the Balls to answer my original question. Say so in the beginning but instead you want to attack the author and assume his character. Have the balls to answer the question and nobody needs your assessment of their character because you have no clue who I am or whomever else. Go to the OT section for your jollys.

Its more sad someone like you have no life beside hanging on to Calguns and all of sudden knows everybody. Grow a pair next time and answer the asked question or else move it along because your stick is getting old. But you get off on that. That's why many don't want to post on Calguns anymore because people like you. Go troll somewhere else. And I'm pretty sure I'm older than you are.

I used to have an LGS that was convenient, so I'd stop in 2 or 3 times a week to see what was coming in. Being friends with the counter guys, I would bring in a 12-taco party-pak and a 12'er of Coca cola a few times per year because many times they were too busy to leave the shop for lunch.

Those guys were super-appreciative for the occasional food and would call me to tip me off when guns that I was looking for came in used. All of my best deals and most difficult guns to find came from that shop. I suppose you could say that the "tips were a two-way street".
