Don’t see it as an issue, if the sight of a tip jar intimidates you and makes you feel like your forced to tip. You got bigger problems then just the tip jar.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

            Maybe.

I did many transaction there including estate and so forth. As mentioned earlier I have no problem tipping, but discreetly and out of my own will. This tip jar create the impression they are asking/mandatory. Tacky and classless in my opinion for a gun store.

You shouldn't talk about sour taste, took a buyer of yours to create a thread about your failures and refuse to compensate to get you see the light.

LGS has tip jar next to register - fair or foul?

Same goes for community members bringing gift cards to the station, or see us while out in the district. Small food items are usually OK, but that's about it. Sometimes we get lucky, and smoking hot beauty will be there with a small plate of holiday cookies.
                                Pretty much,

This wasn’t pre-hospital, this was in the unit (ICU). Basically, the old man was in acute resp failure (flash pulm edema), and between diuresing him, BiPAP, vasodilators and so on over a cpl hours of working the guy in his room in front of his smoking hot daughters, they were asking if I am married, and would I like their last name.
Now that tip, I would have gone for absolutely - they were beautiful italian women haha!

The whole thing with the envelope was a few days later when Imwas getting off shift and stopped by to tell him I was off for a few, and wanted to wish him well in his continued recovery.

That is when it got strange ... the wife closed the door to the room, went to the closet and got the envelope lol.
I was super surprised, explained we don’t work like that (should have seen about dating one of his daughters thoughhaha).

Though, once there was a $20 bill on the windshield with a small thank you note (I was ground CCT that day)
We had no idea who left it, so I told my emt’s to split it.

Other than that, I have never taken a cash tip ever.
I worked in CV medicine for a long time, and we had patients who would send edible arrangements (fruit and treats in so,e bouquet thing), but it goes to the desk.
Most hospital policy is no cash tips, and no food etc over $25.

On the rig, simply it doesn’t happen.
In the bird, we would never even know
