at this point the barrier is getting the large big box retailers, Bass Pro and Sportsman to start shipping from Neveda and Arizona. Everyone else will follow. California cant do anything about it afterwards. Consider it another failure of the Left as was the last weeks Muller report. The leftists world is falling apart.

I really doubt anyone is going to personally receive scrutiny. The major issue is their targeting of businesses. So much has gone down it's like a dam broke, they won't risk their entire house of cards in order to try and make a statement now. Remember, the more the merrier. Everything that happens going forward pushes things closer to Scotus which is what they want to avoid at all costs.
Lets remain calm and help each other understand the situation, it's going to be an interesting couple of days.Originally posted by doggieSomeone must put an end to this endless bickering by posting the unadulterated indisputable facts and truth."The California matrix of gun control laws is among the harshest in the nation and are filled with criminal law traps for people of common intelligence who desire to obey the law." - U.S. District Judge Roger T. I listened to Chuck Michel on the podcast. Now I feel less poorly about being uncertain as to just how things could play out. What I could kick myself for is failing to line up a purchase as soon as the order came out. I then had someone in a free state coming into CA today and if I had acted promptly the purchase could have been made, the mags imported this afternoon, and received this evening.
I repeat for those that missed my previous post; it looks like you must "receive" the magazine before the injunction is stayed else you may be chargeable if and when the mag law is found constitutional.
I strongly suggest that anyone thinking about purchasing 10+ magazines listen to what Chuck Michel says about the risk they are taking. That is in the part of the podcast after the break.Comment

+1. If the large businesses start to ship to CA residents, it is all over.I really doubt anyone is going to personally receive scrutiny. The major issue is their targeting of businesses. Personally, I think this is going to play out to maybe this Friday. However, the longer it takes for CA-DoJ to file their motion requesting a stay, the more pressure there is for the large businesses like BassPro/Cabelas to start shipping to CA residents.Lets remain calm and help each other understand the situation, it's going to be an interesting couple of days.Comment

Lawyers being cautious when speaking to the general public.Tom Gresham: "but we've got this three day window when- are they legal right now?"
Chuck Michel: "We don't know if we have a 3 day window. The judge did issue a judgement, which would imply that the order, that went along with the judgement, is final and the injunction is final. And everything that I've looked at suggests that that's the case: that this is a final order- a final judgement, so that injunction is in place right now against enforcement. But I don't know what the DoJ lawyers might come up with. I'm sure they have law clerks scouring the law books right now trying to find some way to say that you don't have the ability to acquire one of these magazines between the time that the judgement comes down and the time that they seek a stay. Will they find something? We couldn't."The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.Comment

I doubt Cabela’s and Bass Pro will be selling standard mags in CA anytime soon. They are corporate cowards. Neither has any balls.+1. If the large businesses start to ship to CA residents, it is all over.

This ruling is radioactive for the anti-2A community. It is almost as if they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.The CA AG faces a very difficult choice - try to appeal with a very poorly pled case (Judge Benitez pretty much shredded the AG's "evidence" opposing the summary judgement), meaning the odds are good that there is no way even the most creative judge on the 9th will find a way to reverse... or try to take it up to SCOTUS, ending in a strong precedence case upholding the 2A, and likely to eviscerate anti gun laws across the country.
As "wins" go, this one is pretty huge, and worth reading the 86 pages with a notepad for great arguments to make leftist Proglodyte heads explode!Comment

Not much is being said about removing the pinned / blocks from std cap. mags.
A lot of std. cap 15 round mags were made into 10 rounders with easily removable blocks . Thoughts on those? As they are already in Ca.?
This reminds me of the crazy Ca. gun show days of the mid-late 90's. Nobody knew what was really going on. Same seems true today.
