I already mentioned CA requires 8 hour class and 30 shots down range... Do a search for states that do not require any training to carry...

You betcher bottomdollar I do. Why wouldn't you.

On average, every three months, and I put half a box of 230 grain HST through it, using the rounds that have been in the magazines during the course of the season then loading these three 7-round mags with fresh ammo.
Pistol is the one shown in my forum avatar and is a Kimber Ultra CDP II featuring an aluminum frame.

I shoot other 1911s far more often, as well as lever carbines and single-action whirlenpoppers.

I put about 20 rounds a month of factory SD ammo through my EDC to test functionality, and an occasional IDPA match.

I don't list any gun on my license or carry one that is not fun to shoot. So, yes, I shoot them all the time I am at the range (as well as many that are not listed).

I don’t shoot my EDC guns because I don’t want to worry about barrel failure. It appears that many people replace Glock barrels straight from the factory with Zev? Something about Gucci Glocks outlasting factory Glocks. Therefore, I only shoot mine for qualifications when needed. I don’t want my Glock to fail me when I need it most
