Hipoint offers a lifetime warranty because they know 99% of end users are prohibited persons so they arent going to be making any warranty claims. Hahahaha!

Idk, they just recycle it, melt it down and remold it. They're getting same gun back, as far as slide and frame anyway. One thing those You Tube tortures tests do is create a lot of sales for Hi Point when people see how tough they are.

That would be true of any warranty. Also, I'd bet Hi Points are pennies on the dollar to produce. Take away the mark ups for distributors and retailers, the cost to produce for the company is $30? Just a guess, but it can't be much. Obviously Hi Points aren't bad enough to put them out of business.

I look at Hi Point the same way I do at Harbor Freight. If it doesn't get much use or if you don't make a living with it, you may not want to spend a lot on it. I don't need a full set of Snap On tools, I'm not a mechanic (any more) and I'm not rebuilding engines in my spare time. I fix my vehicles as needed and am not going to wear out even cheap tools. If it breaks, I get another one. But that's rare.

I think Hi Points are far and away more reliable than any other handgun of similar price. Are Glocks better? Obviously. But the price comparison is ring of fire handguns, not Glock.

Tbh does it really matter? Op needs to give circumstances so we can decide which is best for the given situation.

In my opinion tho, I’ll take whichever one helps me get to my rifle faster.
But I do own a Glock lol

A gun is a gun, it's the user if he, she, non-binary, N/A. I see a lot of posers ( no offense posers) who own high-end stuff but don't know how to use it...

Also I think Kevin has a point too.

Glocks are "high end"? What are you smoking?

I don't ever compare my C9 to anything else other than cost factor or reliability. I own nicer and more expensive pistols.

What I enjoy is that It's a beater, it cost $150. I don't worry if it gets stolen, confiscated, lost or abused. But it still works and I would buy again.

I would just PPT anything in our handgun section at $250-300 which can be anything better than a Hi-Point. I saw the IraqVeteran888 torture test, so I wouldn't be surprised if a Hi-Point is better than most guns that have issues do to their design build.
