Man i tell about these dudes on here. Nothing but internet keyboard politicians, attorney's, and killers. I find it a bit comical because these type of guys in 2018 come with women like traits and it shows. Lol. Went through all the trouble of quoting us to make a sarcastic comment.

Incorrect. If Democrats had their way only military and police would even be able to touch a firearm, so there would be no need for background checks.

At a range, they don't actually have to run a check on you if you use all the ammo at the range.
You can not LEAVE the range with any of the ammo without having a background check run though.

As for how it's going to work, the state has not even figured that out yet.
The state THOUGHT that they could use the federal NICS system to run the checks, but the FBI said they can not do that.
The state is going to have to make it's own system.

Ever go to the DMV?
That's a state run system.
You can expect that this new ammo background system will not work as smoothly as the DMV.
They will probably end up having an annual "ammo buyers card" that you have to present when you buy ammo.
Each year you will pay a fee to have them run your background check.

Last time I was at the range (a sizable one in SF Bay Area) I asked the person checking me in about background checks and plans for the future and she seemed to not know WTF I was talking about. She sort of laughed like I had asked what time their next Saturn V departure to Moon Base Alpha was.

I figured she either was totally ignorant of what the hell was coming down the pike or I had drastically misunderstood what was coming down the pike.

Newsom will completely alter all of these non clearly defined laws with no mention of how to do a background check way before they take effect in July 2019..For the worst.

Hopefully, SCOTUS will finally show some interested in potentially anti-Constitutional CA laws.

Friend in PHX tells me Ammo Sales are up, parking lot of the gun stores; many CA plates. No one in AZ seems to check ID or care. Don't use a CC for payment.

Two months ago, I asked about an ammo PPT/exchange at Ammo Bros. while waiting to do a handgun PPT.....the guy had no idea, either

This year, ammo transfers only require the seller has a CA ammo sellers license and checks that the buyer has a CA ID showing his residence in CA.
Next year, the background check requirement is really going to mess things up.
