It's hard to give up our positions and the money we make in the tech world right now. I am sure we will leave eventually though as it is just too crowded in the Bay Area and we are too busy to enjoy any of the beautiful parts of California. That and trying to buy a home is hilariously expensive right now.

I wonder what would happen if you show up with an out of state license or ID? Can you still sit in the jury?

Not that anyone would want to do that from a travel distance or time perspective.

Now that illegal aliens have drivers licenses, can they sit in a jury? Can't imagine having to have translators for every language represented. Plus, imagine having foreign nationals as jurors. But then we're talking about that magical California diversity and tolerance, right?

We're leaving tomorrow (7/18) to spend the first night in our new home in Nevada. So, we know how you feel! We won't be completely moved until the first part of August. As someone else said, part of the joy of living in a free state is gloating....

I doubt they would let you in. But it felt amazing to tell the state to go to heck and that I wasn't ever going to come back and be part of the problem.
