I have read on far more ND/AD's at the 3:00 position than AIWB carry. Heck, Massad Ayoob even had a recent ND and that was without a holster.

Sh*t happens when you party naked, folks. Sh*t happens.
Of course there are more ND's/ AD's at the 3 o'clock as it is one of the most popular carry options.

Carrying a loaded weapon in such a way that the muzzle points at your man parts is so indescribably, utterly foolish is almost some sort of sick joke.

So you think my opinion that it is foolish to carry a loaded gun that is pointed at your genitals is stupid?

Generally, yes. But I also think that carrying a gun without a manual external safety isn't foolish.

For those that train or practice an adequate amount I agree on that.

I know a lot of people swear by their glocks and trust their lives to their glocks but I would never carry loaded weapon with a round in the chamber without it having a hard safety

Training in correct and safe technique and the ensuing weapons manipulation muscle memory make many things possible. The problem is that so many in these forums lack professional instruction and training. Many if not most simply buy guns and watch YouTube and become self anointed experts.

For what it is worth far too many LEO's lack the skills that their job requires as well.. looking at their guns as just another "tool on the belt" that hopefully gets used in periodic qualifying sessions and that's all...

Am I on the Mother Jones forums? Sounds like you guys are trying to pass a law requiring external safeties.

The guy made an error. Has nothing to do with the choice or size of gun or carry position.

No, everyone is free to shoot themselves in the dick as far as I am concerned. I am just lamenting the lack of training in the CCW community and the lack of perspective by same of the risks being incurred daily. This is just another case of "just because you can doesn't mean you should..."

You guys hear about half a dozen incidents and react like its a pandemic and somehow become subject matter experts. Half of you guys don't even carry.

                      It's like CNN in here.

That is a rather uneducated assumption but, hell, you said it, roll with it....

AIWB definitely isn't for people who aren't willing to train and be comfortable with it. Which is probably most people. Since it has become more popular, there will be more accidents, but instead of the "leg crease" at 3 o'clock, you get a hair raising "groin" shot.

You can see that his grey shirt rides down and tucks into the holster at 13-16 seconds into the video.

I do like the tactile feedback of the "Striker Control Device" from Tau.
If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

A lot of back and forth on here.

I have carried for awhile now. I have tried subcompacts, compacts and full size. I have also, been one to try and find the perfect holster and have purchased a few, tossed a few and loved a few.

I recently purchased a Tier1Concealment AIWB holster and its the most comfortable that I have tried and carried. Why I like it - It flexes in the middle which curves to my stomach, it has a claw on the firearm side, which pushes against my pants making it disappear under my shirt. I am able to carry my G23 with an extra 10 rounds comfortably. Prior to that I was carrying a shield at my 7:30 or so area (Lefty) and it was comfortable, but not amazing. I tried supertucks, alien gear, custom holsters, etc. and found a cheap, tuckable kydex was the best. However, AIWB and my Tier1 is MORE comfortable, and I can carry more rounds and I can carry a firearm I shoot better with. Did I carry the shield cause it was more comfortable prior? Yes! But, I could also, shoot that subcompact accurately. I plan to stick with AIWB as I am comfortable with my weapons handling and the holster I have. I have read, seen (Not personally) AD occur with OWB, IWB and AIWB holsters. My weapons will not fire unless the trigger is pulled. My shield has a safety, and Its never on, my glock - well its striker fired and doesnt have a manual safety. My 1911 is on my card as well, but that takes a grip safety, thumb safety and a trigger pull for it to go off.

Now back to the video. I would like to know what REALLY happened.

This is likely going to boil down to a software issue after all is said and done.
