    Another Appendix holster FAILURE..........

Another notch in the appendix carry holster and a Glock 43. Just cuz its cool, doesnt make it safe and just because REAL professionals can, doesn't mean the run of the mill moron should...

"This video, captured earlier this week, was submitted anonymously by a reader in Nevada. It shows a firearm that had been holstered discharging when the carrier bent over to pick something up.
We’re told that the gun in question was a GLOCK 43. The holster was a GCode INCOG. The bullet penetrated the carrier’s groin in a through-and-through wound and he is reported to be in stable condition."

We had a similar event happen exactly like this in So California at Angeles Range last year if I remember correctly. I would never carry anything but a revolver near my "junk". You could be in a operating theater surrounded by a gunshot trauma team and if you shoot yourself in the groin thru your femoral artery, you WILL die...

If you are not able to recognize that the decision to carry a concealed handgun daily IS A LIFESTYLE CHANGE that requires, particularly here in Southern California, a change in how you dress, then maybe you should rethink your decision. I always carry strong side IWB/OWB WITH retention just behind my hip. PERIOD. I dress to conceal that weapon and I dont worry too much about printing as long as it isn't blatant. Printing is not against the law and 98% of citizens and 70% of LEO's will never notice.

The INCOG is a hard-type holster. How would the trigger actuate while holstered without a foreign object interfering with the trigger?

I understand what you mean by the newbie/mall ninja carriers, however. They seem to lack so many fundamentals of firearms safety, knowledge, and usage. Of course, mall ninjas AKA hipsters are present in every category.

I have my reasons to carry AIWB; mainly accessibility and ability to sit comfortably while driving. All other points are minor when the scenario is equal. My back did feel better after switching from 4:30 to AIWB. The downside is I gain a little "pudge" in the abdomen area.

I don't know but it seems to happen a lot with Glocks.

Between "Glock leg" and the recorded instances where people either reaching into their coat pockets for their Glock or trying to grab a falling Glock these ND/ADs are occurring at a surprising rate...

Odds are he got a piece of his shirt in the trigger area while holstering.

            Is it the Glocks fault?

Maybe the Glock and the holster both bent/flexed enough to release the sear?

Crazy. One reason why I like manual safeties that actually block the trigger and sear. I always imagined carrying a glock, but these "internal safeties" don't fully cut it for me. Like this, anything can make the trigger depress and drop the sear.

"gun won't fire unless the trigger is pressed fully... That's our safety", no shiz.

No.. its the way I choose to carry. I think is the best but certainly not the only method.

                        - It is the way most all people train and have the most experience and muscle memory with.
                        - It is a method that should there be a ND, the chances of receiving a fatal self inflicted wound are slim.
                        - it is a method that offers the most flexibility and effectiveness with regard to weapons retention in a CQB situation.

                        Again, not the only method i could forsee;
                        - For a designated driver in a military/ LE / Exec Protection detail, a cross draw or vertical shoulder rig can be justified.
                        - Ankle or pocket carry of a back up to a service pistol for an LEO.
                        - Chest carry for hunters / hikers
                        - Chest carry on a carrier for military and LEO's

Nope.. Look at the video again.. he clearly pulls his gray T shirt up to holster then weapon and then pulls it down over the front of his pants before sitting down.

Looks like the way the clip is if the gun was not all the way in it would pull the trigger.
