Why would anyone want a free NRA membership? I thought the whole point was joining and giving them money to fight the good fight?Comment

Dear California,
I love you. I was born and raised in you. You have given me some of the best times of my life. Now with that said, I can not wait to move!

Ahhh, okay. Thanks for the explanation. I signed up with my gun club. I thought I heard someone mentioning a lobbying group other then NRA for Californians in specific. Any info on that or is that just scuttlebutt?Comment

I dont know if I would call it an "explanation". Its just my opinion on why the NRA is doing this free membership thing. I think theyre just trying to make themselves become such a large organization that no one wants to mess with them or what they stand for.
As for the CA specific group, it doesnt ring a bell.Dear California,

No the numbers thing makes sense to me man. I thought he said a Californian group. Hmmm, my gun club meeting is this Thurs I will ask again.Comment

The other thing is donations that come in during the course of the membership. Ya know all of the stuff you get in the mail, it gets me donating for sure.

I was just about to leave a comment about that. I paid the full 35 bucks, and with all the freebies I get in the mail I am about to write a check for another 100. I feel bad I'm not contributing enough.Comment

I got a confirmation email. Then again I signed up for 3 years. Couldnt justify getting a free membership without giving them some money.sigpicComment

Nope! But everyday, when the sun hits the highest point in the sky, 2 men wearing black suits and RayBans knock on my door, and ask if I am interested in Long Distance Phone Service....
Then a black van, with Govt plates drives by, and the men disappear
