Free NRA membership

Got my email the other day.
Was worried though, cuz they said (paraphrasing) "if you pay for a $25 membership, we'll give you an ID card"

Does that mean I don't get an ID card with my free membership?

You do get an ID card with the free membership along with the sticker / decal, no sign of the magazine yet

I signed up ( 5 years) about 3 weeks ago. Got the promo gift (C. Heston knife) in a week, just got my card and decals yesterday. No magazine as yet.

I did get 3 buds to join, it's a good time to show support for any organization that supports/defends our 2A rights. IMHO.

Me 2. I didnt realize I was getting a knife. I wish NRA would just take the money needed for these "gifts" and use it to fight for our rights. I dont need a knife from them or did I want it.

That is what the letter that came with the knife is for, additional contributions. They figure you might contribute more than the knife cost them (made in China) that you otherwise would not do.

Q: I didn't receive my Black and Gold Shooter's Cap. How can I get one?
A: Simply email us at membership@nrahq.org and we will be happy to have one resent to you. Please be sure to include your full name, complete mailing address, and current NRA Member ID number.


Q: What comes with my Membership in the NRA?
A: As a member you will receive:

NRA's black and gold shooter's cap or another gift depending on the promotion.
Your choice of NRA magazines: America's 1st Freedom, American Rifleman or American Hunter
A personalized membership card
An NRA member decal
$10,000 in Hunter's Accident (A,D, & D) insurance
$1,000 in Firearms Theft Insurance
Discounts on car rentals and interstate moves and, if you meet credit criteria, an NRA VISA card.

Q: How long does it take for me to receive my NRA Materials after I reply?
A: From the time you submit your application, it can take up to 4-6 weeks to receive your full membership materials.

Q: I applied for membership online but I haven't heard anything. What's going on?
A: When you submitted your online application, did you receive an email receipt verification? If yes, everything is in order and your membership is in processing. If no, your application was not received and you should reapply.

Q: How do I get a new id card?
A: Simply email us at membership@nrahq.org and request a replacement card.

Q: Does my NRA magazine come out monthly?
A: The NRA magazines are shipped eleven times per year.
