I've got a box of 9, does that count?

    Sorry, not sorry.

It depends on your definition of hoarding.

"You may have heard on the news about a southern California man put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and allegedly had (by rough estimate) 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also featured a secret escape tunnel.

My favorite quote from the dimwit television reporter: “Wow! He has about a quarter million machine gun bullets.” The headline referred to it as a “massive weapons cache”.

By southern California standards someone owning 100,000 rounds would be called “mentally unstable”. Just imagine if he lived elsewhere:

In Arizona , he’d be called “an avid gun collector”.

In Texas , he’d be called “a novice gun collector”.

In Utah , he’d be called “moderately well prepared”, but they’d probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.

In Montana , he’d be called “The neighborhood ‘Go-To’ guy”.

In Idaho , he’d be called “a likely gubernatorial candidate”.

In Wyoming , he’d be called “an eligible bachelor”.

In Wisconsin , he’d be called “a deer hunting buddy”.

And, in Alabama , we just call him “Bubba”.
"Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. Moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue." ----Sen. Barry Goldwater

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." ----Benjamin Franklin

If I said yes...and if...I was aquiring some ammo...then I may have filled a safe or two. But, I can't remember if I filled the other safes that happen to be elsewhere when I may, or may not be, at a place I might have in the hills.

Other than that...I think that there could be a round or twenty thousand here or there...maybe.

Not that we can see into the future, but waiting for the last few months was the best time to buy in bulk. I prepped for Killary, and I bought at the high

Those that stocked up are just set apart from the average fool.

Buying ammo is like saving money, it's not hoarding and there's never enough.

Nope! I have enough ammo at my place in kali. I bagged a room share rental in Idaho summer before last to store things I don't want to be forced to get rid of.

As soon as I sell the ranch I'd planned to retire to (also in kali), I'll roll it into a place up there and then move the rest of my furniture on up..

I did my time and have fought long enough to keep rights that are respected by my new destination state. When I'm at my place in Idaho, I feel so incredibly relaxed. You don't have the constant jet noise from the local airport - only the distant train horn from across the valley. It's peaceful but I really wish town didn't shut down at 7 pm.

I guess you can't have everything...

Trade offs are a b*tch. I'd take your plan and run with it. Congrats on the exit plan.

Didn't have money to spare so nah. Only buy a few boxes at walmart when I'm there needing to buy something else like oil or some engine cleaner.

In a way after seeing the fire on TV, while unlikely kinda glad I don't have much ammo to worry about but yeah wish I had a few cases of ammo..
