If a course was within easy driving distance and paid me $150 a day, I have the time.

Alright, $140 a day if you buy lunch.
I meant, it is my opinion that...

    I would advise violence. - M. Gandhi

Ok let me ask you a direct question , why would I expose my wife to your training vs. my experience over what I learned over a 20 year career ?

And some constructive criticism as well , to some people training with "SWAT officers" can be quiet intimidating .
Understand that you need to address each target demographic differently , so your "get" line must be tailored to them , women , men , old geezers , LGBTQ (etc.) and average joe's all have something different that resonates with them , your job is to figure out what it is and by addressing that make them WANT to come to your training .
Justice without force is powerless ; force without justice is Tyrannical

I only get two weeks off a year and the instructors at gunsite are not getting any younger.

Is it safe for seniors? - relatively unfit (hence the need for a gun - can't run away)

Your profile on your posts says you're in the SFBA. If so, if/when you get more "greener pastures" in that area, you'll probably have more demand. But who knows if/when that will ever happen....

I'd love to take your practical courses. Which class should be taken first: Intro to tactics or defensive scenarios? The website isn't clear on that.

                "When Code just isn't enough"

Use that tag line. Change price to $1000/person. Pitch your training to Google, Facbook, etc as a group bonding experience. Send me a free shirt when you book $100k.

What you are describing is a physically demanding class. 90% of gun owners can barely get from the car to the shooting bench. A square range, stand in one place and shoot a paper target class is a physically demanding event for the overwhelming majority.

You are proposing something out of most peoples range of possibilities. You assume most gun owners are martial artists. They are not.

P.S. You asked what is stopping people. These are the facts. I think these facts are disgusting. They do not describe me. But, they are still the facts.
I've attended a class. I'm fat and lazy. There is no aspect of your post which was a requirement for me to gain a LOT of knowledge from the class I was in. If you read more about the class it is more about mindset. If you're extremely trigger happy you MIGHT shoot 20 rounds all day.

ETA: the scenarios I ran (they are all different) - allowed for the avoidance of shoots as well. One of the people I was there with successfully talked himself out of 5/6 shoots.. I was less successful... for all those bashing the training because you are already trained, that's great. I thought I was trained with my firearm, which for the most part I am. What I was NOT trained for was a real life scenario. None of the scenarios we ran assumed the bad guy was a well trained militia member. They were the random thug or drunk jerk you might bump into at a bar or any other public event. I think a few guys didn't even draw and de-escalated the situation they were in.

I'm 65 and thin, but most of the shooters I see do look pregnant. I wonder if I could 'keep up' with them?

You guys should do bachelor parties.

Strippers, booze and drugs in so 1980s, I hear its a growing tend for all the boys to do some high dollar, once in a lifetime, real macho activity.

I'm not dissing your operation, honest.

Packages for groups from 4 to 12 people and about 4-5 hours, and more 'fun', and plan on accommodating guys who can't put 5 in 10 at 7 in 5.

What better gift than to give the new husband and his crew some real skills to defend their new families.

Probably get grudging approval from the brides anti-gun parents "lets face it Honey, its not the Summer of Love anymore", and probably get lots of repeat biz from guys coming back to do the real courses.
DOES PEPPER SPRAY WORK? AFTER REPEATED POINT BLANK SHOTS TO THE FACE...OVER A SIMPLE WORKPLACE DISAGREEMENT??? you decide, and you will laught, too

If that is true, the biggest threat to your life is not a bad guy with a gun. The biggest threat to your life is a fork and spoon. You need to deal with the most urgent threat first.

It is all about realistic threat management. Diabetes kills more gunowners than ISIS.

Thanks for that pearl of wisdom. I would have felt the same way until I was robbed at gunpoint in November. Luckily my doctor keeps my health in check and despite being fat and lazy I'm OK from a diabetes standpoint.

I've trained with Stanton Lee a lot down here in SoCal, so I understand the benefit of training. If you ever bring your training to LA County, count me in. Unfortunately, the furthest North I get on occasion is Davis.

By the way, great website, and great, professional attitude in response to some of the sarcasm here.
