    Force-On-Force Training | What's Preventing You?

    Hi all,

Our company provides both civilian and LE agencies reality-based training in a safely controlled, yet very heavy stress-inducing environment. Feedback from students is always highly positive, and for first-timers, it's always an eye opener.

We have noticed a very common "say-do" gap, though, which is often sounds like "I am extremely interested in serious training, but this weekend I have to fold laundry". We understand FoF training is not for everybody, but what are some of your theories or personal reasons? We have some ideas, but we'd love to hear from the community so we can better service everyone.

    Thanks!

Perhaps a lot of folks don't grasp the concept that to be successful in physical confrontation takes a lot more than simply acquiring various tools and accessories with an occasional trip to some firing range.

Apathy, time, money, over 50 years on this planet and so far no need to defend myself, nor have any of my friends.

This may be because I tend to live and play in low crime areas.

Distance and time involved. Busy schedules. Currently I have a injury to my right arm that also prevents it.

Mainly lack of free time. The need to switch to a Glock pattern simunition gun doesn't bother me.

For me, it's hard to justify spending $400 on one days worth of training.

Also I've looked at your calander before and noticed you only have classes on weekends, this doesn't work for everybody. And I'm not going to burn time to attend a class.

This is entirely false. Firearms are successfully used in defense of self and others thousands of times a year. The vast majority of people using those firearms lack significant training.

Meh I'd rather spend $30 and go play airsoft. People bad mouth it all the time, but it helped me drastically when I bought my first guns.

No, those folks are just lucky. Against a determined, seasoned adversary most would fall easily. Predators use that to their advantage.

That's the same argument as safes vs burglars, if they're determined enough they will find a way. If you have a professional casing your home to kill you, i think you have bigger problems than some home defence training. A decent home defence plan and adequate range training should be enough to deter a threat.

The best defence against a home intruder is keeping them OUT of your home in the first place. Having to pull out a firearm should be a last resort. Much like the fire extinguishers in the glass containers.

Although I definitely am all for training, just not spending the cost of a new gun for one.

Hey , THAT laundry ain't gonna fold itself !!!
On a more serious note , location , cost and scheduling would be the top suspects, I understand the passion you have for your Business but not everybody wants the products you offer , on the other hand this might be a ruse to "spread the word " about your company and if so , shame on you .

I would consider it, but you are in the other side of the state.

Also , Saturday's are difficult, I think that is a recurring theme here.

Nope, not even close. Most criminals are counting on their victims being passive pushovers, once confronted with deadly force they fold like an oragami crane.

seriously if someone is a professional and wants you gone odds are they're gonna get you as you get out of your car and your steering wheel will be the last thing you see.
