Doesn't really matter how I've wasted my life. But to the young guys out there, don't you think life is too short to spend it giving out speeding tickets? Do something important and meaningful. Something people respect.

Whats that word that comes to mind?
Can any of the members here help me out with it?
oh yea, thats it. . . . .
TROLL
Do you actually believe that working in Law Enforcement isnt a honorable job? If this person choses a career path that leads him to LE, then hes not a honorable person? With your last 4 statements, Im sure you have managed to garner the attention of quite a few people here, all of whom question your intelligence. Including myself. Statements like those are usually reserved for internet trolls.Originally posted by Soldier415I am naked except for seatless white chaps, a boonie hat and a tactical vest playing HALO.Originally posted by oaklanderI don't like getting my butt kicked, but I would like to have it spanked by some big hairy guys!Originally posted by ohsmilyI wouldn't put "mounting a weasel" past too many people on this forum.Originally posted by hoffmangGoing after the NFA soon is like asking the girl you just met in the bar if she's into anal sex...

There's a reason you're riled up and calling me names while I'm calm...it's because the truth is hard to hear. Call me a troll if it makes you feel better, but nothing I said is false.
As far as calling 911...I've never had to in my life. If I have a real emergency, I don't think it will wait around 10 mins. while I call for help. That's why I own a firearm.
edit: I take it back. I did call 911 last year when there was a flat tire blocking a lane on the highway. Somebody has to go clean it up, right?Last edited by Blackflag; 01-06-2008, 3:11 PM.Comment

Ouch. Someone watched training day a few too many times. I'm not a huge fan of run ins with the cops (no criminal record), mostly because I just like to avoid any potential issues. But they are people too and it's not your place to criticize their choice for what they want to do for a living. Ive had many who are borderline friends, but mostly acquaintances and they always seem like good folks to me.
Which leads me to wonder, what exactly you do that is so "honorable" or exciting?
Also, what happens if you start using a non-approved firearm on the job, because *you* feel it is safer?Last edited by edittman1; 01-06-2008, 3:26 PM.Comment

The same reason a cop can't blind fire or fire onto a suspect who is standing in direct line of a civilian. They could easily hurt or kill an innocent party. Of course this changes if the person is an Active threat "firing rounds at people".
In Afghan and Iraq, we don't really care about what people think. In America if a cop farts while he is talking to you, someone will complain.Comment

I don't know why I bother, but I would like to comment also.Doesn't really matter how I've wasted my life. But to the young guys out there, don't you think life is too short to spend it giving out speeding tickets? Do something important and meaningful. Something people respect.
Not patting myself on the back, but I would like to believe that the mother of the little boy who drowned when he was 3 and who I performed CPR on is happy he survived and is now in his early 20s. I could be wrong, but I think she respects my actions and me for that.
Writing someone a speeding ticket may have saved a life down the line; the driver's or someone he may have crashed into. I'm guessing you were cited quite a lot and this is your way of relieving your resentment. Good for you; feel better.

"Most people understand that guns deter criminals. If a killer were stalking your family, would you feel safer putting a sign out front announcing, "This Home Is a Gun-Free Zone"? But that is what the Westroads Mall did" (in Omaha, Neb).

Where did he go? I'm still curious...seeing as how he entered this thread to ask a question why he hasn't stuck around? I wonder why he feels he can ask a question but does not then reciprocate by answering one posed to him?
Oh well...I've had many people call me many things in my life...I doubt I'll loose sleep over this. I even stopped crying already.Comment
