You are absolutely right on! I have two in Pinas, a Gold Cup and a Kimber double stack here in the US I use in IPSC, saving for an STI next. I use my Sig P220, P239 and Colt Detective Special (Bug gun) in IDPA.

Our local Club is up north but I did shoot inside Camp Crame shooting range last year as part of a requirement and qualifier when I purchased my Glock.
But you know, its kind of a joke, the law is that if you buy a gun legally, you are required to join a club in addition to drug test, three clearances, safety course, shooting and etc. The three clearances is a must but the rest of it, the gun store can take care of it for additional money without you doing anything but wait and pick up the gun anywhere between a month to three months. Not all gun store will do it though like where I bought my Glock.

AstigBoy, you are either confusing me or you are mixed up. I have never heard nor seen a "chocolate sinigang" If ever there is one, ewwwww
What you said is a two type of dish. Chocolate is made out of pigs blood and innards. Sinigang is a broth cook with either sea food or meat and vegetables with a soury taste to it. Sinigang is one of my specialty when I cook by the way. The other one is Pinakbet.

No man, you heard me right the first time! It is like both dishes mixed together. Sinigang is one of my favorites, so Im not confused. This dish was Siniganag cooked Dinuguan style!! I was born here in the states but grew up in National City and Mira Mesa, heavily populated filipino communities, so Ive been eating filipino food for the past 30 years, and it was just a few days ago I tried this dish. Ive never ever seen it before. My gf's aunt cooked it, and it was mmm mmmmm masarap pare!!!

i've actually mixed dishes kinda like that. sometimes, dinuguan can be too rich so i add some type of acid...whether it be vinegar, lemon, lime, or tabasco...it tempers the richness! so chocolate sinigang makes perfect sense!

here's a bunch of pro-gun pinoys for you!

Only if you have met your quota of 1 long and 1 short. Phil law only allows you to buy that much. But if you intend to buy more than your share of quota, you need to be a member of an accredited gun club. That is not a way of going around the law but that is the law.

                Irony?

I find it very ironic that Pinoy in the USA love firearms while in the PI heavily restricts firearms. One might think that since their constitution was heavily influenced by the USA's there would be something similar to a 2A. Occupation by the Japanese might have encouraged firearm ownership too.

That's because the Catholic church has a very big influence on the Phil gov't. combined that with the liberal media that potray firearms as evil and you get a lot of people brainwashed enough to cringe at the thought of even having firearms in the house.

The Philippines spent 300 years in a Spanish convent and the last 60 years in Hollywood.

I'm also a pinoy, born in the PI, raised in the PI, and moved here in 94'. My family is PRO-GUN..BIG TIME

My dad has an M4A1, the trusty 1911, Beretta (sshhh..too many guns )I grew up with guns and I can remember my dad letting me clean all the guns either as a punishment or when he's being lazy.

In our province not a lot of people can afford guns but those who do, keep it under the radar.

When my Auntie was murdered I went back there for the funeral and because of the situation we had Pulis bodyguards. The funny thing was that I was not allowed to go out of the house without packing "something".. My BG always had me carry his MP5 while he carries an 11" M4..it was weird to the 10th power..... but extremely cool at the same time

Oh yeah the reason we had bodyguards was the suspects have ties with the military...

I hear that. Its amazing how easy it is to aquire a "pineapple" in the PI. My dad is into sabong and whenever he's out tending the birds he always has a nice little wheel gun with him. It came in handy when some crazy relatives of ours paid some dirty cops to take him in. The cops were too chicken **** to step on our property and they took off. Later that night the whole barangay council, some pulis buddies, and his sabong buddies took down the dirty cops and they were punished. It was crazy seeing all those M16s and 1911s on everyone while packed in a convoy of owner jeeps, haha. Of course we stuck it to our relatives in court and my ninong tipped off some of his cop buddies in Tandang Sora, QC about some illegal firearms they had. Whenever we run into them in the PI they can't even look at us anymore.

PI restriction only apply to concealed carry just like California. At the present time, you can only apply a permit to carry(renewed annually) if you have a police record of threat on your life, otherwise you need connection to obtain one. Anyone who have money and able to get three clearances (mayor, police & tax) can buy a gun (with license to own-renewable every two years)but must remain within your residence.

I do not believe so. My first purchase of 1911 and a Mossberg scatter gun three years ago required me to join a club.

I have to agree, when I was going to high school over there even the teachers tolerated the kids playing with airsoft guns in the hallways. And where else in the world will you see a security guard at a 7-11 with a AK-47?
