Please go re-read the bill and note the section you are seeing is only applicable to prohibited persons.

Correct. That bill has yet to be drafted... probably next year.

i am a brass hound, and where i go up in the hills to shoot, have been swept clean. peps that never before picked up there brass, now even the little .22 cases are disappearing.
heck even the shotgun fools are taking there empty hulls home.

used to pick up 10-15 pounds a day (number of spots) now lucky to find a couple pounds a week.

even some shooting berms are getting dug out (killing the back stops).


but online and the ammo shops in (nevada, utah, oregon, idaho, arazona, new mexico, texas) are making a killing selling to Ca refugees.

last couple ammo buys the clerks said "your from ca, right".
they see a lot of case lots getting bought by us.

I actually wonder what will happen after the bill finally goes into effect. I'm sure people in other states that are smart are hoarding in anticipation of Hillary as well (especially after the last scare). With California trading top spots in regards to percentage of ammo sales with Texas every year (http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/2013-ammo-stats/) a fair chunk of the market is going to be taken out.

With manufactures producing in record numbers could we actually see even cheaper ammo if we buy in bulk and pay the dues after 2018?

I've been stocking up on odd ball stuff. Specialty 10mm and 357 Sig and the like. It needs to last me for a couple more years until I'm out.

I think I have two 50 round boxes of 9mm and about 200 22LR cartridges.

That is all.

By next year I should be down to 10 rounds (1 magazine) of 9mm and 7 rounds of 22LR.

A gun store owner speculated that CA DOJ could track purchases and if someone buys ammo and has no firearm on file in that caliber they could be accused of a straw purchase. Of course we all know the holes in that logic, but it has that ring of "it could happen."
