Probably looking at stocking up on another 5K of .22 LR and 7.62 X39 soon. Both calibers that I don' t reload for. I'll continue to stock up on reloading components as well for all other calibers.

Next problem is where to safely store it all. All the likely places are already filled!

I'm waiting for the "Maximum Ammo Stored" bill. I've got a backhoe and 5 acres.

Or required registration on ammo followed by an annual ammo tax

I think I have two 50 round boxes of 9mm and about 200 22LR cartridges.

That is all.

By next year I should be down to 10 rounds (1 magazine) of 9mm and 7 rounds of 22LR.

That's a fair start.

Posts like this feed the anticipatory frenzy, driving up demand, which increases scarcity which drives up cost. Soon, we will be berating the hoarders and price gougers.

Every election cycle brings fear which creates anxiety buying. This year's ammo laws compound it, but don't go into operation until 1/1/2018. Out of state purchasing controls hit in July 2019. (Newsom's initiative moves that date to 1/1/2018.)

This years' focus should be on buying guns which will become untouchable AWs on 1/1/2017.

well damn, i thought it was to start on 2017 concerning internet sales of ammo.

guess i bought a lot of ammo when i didn't need too yet.

but then again, election season, and with a big Anti-2A Hillary, this may be the last few weeks to get ammo for their usual market rate vs the inflated panic rates that lasted for a year to two years after obama's first term.

Since the first week of July, I have decided to spend $1000 a month on ammo until the first of the year. As well as reloading equipment and supplies.
With that kind of spending you get to know your sales rep by name!

The stories I hear about one of the major ammo companies selling $35,000 worth of ammo last year, and this year almost $700,000 so far is no joke!
Adding another warehouse and 40 employee's just for California.

These laws are always knee jerk, and we knee jerk on the other side of the spectrum.
People who I never would have considered being gun owners are buying lowers just because they won't be able to. My local gun stores can't even keep up at this point.

So in my county of Calaveras alone, thousands of guns and tons of ammo are coming in. Local UPS hired another driver to ride shotgun to my little town due the weight of ammo they are unloading.

I can't even fathom whats happening in other cities across Ca.

Must be nice to have that much cash laying around every month to spend on ammo!!!

Yep, just like Prohibition gave the rumrunners their big break, and the war on drugs built the cartels, this will give rise to some criminal organization who will fill the need for ammo.
