I know competition shooters who have half a million rounds of .22 on hand acquired from the last five years, and one who has 1.2 million rounds on hand. You'd be surprised at how small the pile of 1.2 million rounds is, I've seen it in person. Not as big as you would think.

At the range this morning, I fired off 75 rounds of 45ACP and 200 rounds of 22LR. I'm now out of ammo.

I had 5000 rounds delivered last week.
There is still plenty out there, you just need to know where to look.

I got 10K of 22lr coming in a few days. it's out there. Don't be afraid of steel cased pistol ammo either. Well, I don't worry about it. All my pistols cycle them just fine.

Its out there. Got to stay on top of it.

this only supplements my hand loads which I seem to be making at a good pace as indicated by the amount of additional ammo boxes I've been buying lately. it does help to live near a range and have ample supply of .223 and 9mm brass.

^^^ this, reloading is no longer the answer since the new ammo bill applies to reloading components as well.

Not necessarily. There are definitions referenced in the bill that only apply to prohibited persons.

I have been stocking up on various things to the point I am becoming concerned about structural integrity. Lead is heavy.

I will be distributing the load to some outbuildings pending security upgrades.

Buy now or cry later. Higher prices and lack of choices.

My parents grew up during the Great Depression. They still 'put things away for a rainy day'. Once you have lived it, giving up that mindset is not easy.
