A non ballistic bump helmet is good, even a bike helmet. If you go with a Kevlar get an ACH with good pads and wear it often. Makes the neck sore, but it's just about the same weight as a football helmet.

Probably not for home defense. HD, **** will happen fast. In my mind, if I ever do need to shoot someone in an HD situation, I'll likely be filing a police report barefoot and in my boxer shorts.

Ive fancied some body armor myself too. Just not in my priorities. I'd rather spend more money on ar500 targets.

I so need to acquire a bulletproof codpiece. Magnum size of course.

I picked up a PASGT at a yard sale for $20. Just thought it looked cool. If gangs ever start a firefight in my neighborhood, I'll have my wife or grandkid put it on.

Of course a combat helmet would be useful in home defense.

Just leave it inside the front door, or hallway. Intruders might trip on it. You could also wedge in in closed windows instead of a stick to keep the window from being opened from the outside.

You could get a Yeti cup, but the Rtic keeps ice cold, just as long for half the price.
