Point: DPD use of explosives was disturbing to me.

Fact - DPD pressed a button and neutralized a threat remotely with explosives.

Reality - minimization of 2nd amendment and other rights.

I'm good with lethal force, I just don't like cops using bombs to kill citizens.

It still doesn't change the fact that what DPD did was legal and the safest for all involved.

Now that whatever type of explosive they used was successful, I believe more agencies will consider using them in similar situations in the future.

If you are implying I am not a real man, that is your opinion. But if a police department against one active shooter is the measure of a real man, then I am legendary son.

So in your opinion, Micah Johnson is a "legendary son". From your posts is sounds as though you are working yourself into the same frenzy that he apparently did (you should post less and read some of the news articles about your "legendary son")

I would advise against following his lead, as it sounds you are willing to do!

Police agencies ARE para-military organizations. Saying that they should not utilize certain equipment that YOU deem appropriate for the military only, is naive.

Granted if the police carpet bombed him, taking out a few blocks in the process, I too would be outraged.

I understand that you just don't like the use of explosives the way they were used in Dallas.

But again, if it's legal it's legal....and you call me thick....

Who would be higher than the Chief? The Governor? The President? They had plenty of time to intervene. They didn't, because the Chief made the right choice.

A very truthfull statement. I know 6 honorably retired LEO, that each have over 30 yrs on. None of which ever fired their service weapons while on duty. And they patrolled some of the crappiest ghettos in LA Cnty.
