Cops have bombs?

Point: if using explosives disturbed you...seek counselingPoint: DPD use of explosives was disturbing to me.
Fact - DPD pressed a button and neutralized a threat remotely with explosives.
Reality - minimization of 2nd amendment and other rights.
I'm good with lethal force, I just don't like cops using bombs to kill citizens.
You really need to re-read what I said before you go putting words in my mouth.

Fact: using a button to neutralize a threat...safer for everyone, except shooter
Reality: explain further
It still doesn't change the fact that what DPD did was legal and the safest for all involved.
Now that whatever type of explosive they used was successful, I believe more agencies will consider using them in similar situations in the future.
Get used to it....Comment

From DPD Chief Brown:
Worried about him charging officers, Chief approved it and would do in again in the same circumstances."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." 1 pound of C4 was used.

So would people have the same problem if the PD drove up to the suspect in an armored vehicle and officers shot him through a gun port?
Would people have the same problem if the robot was armed with a rifle and remotely used to roll up and shoot the suspect?

You must be real thick. What's the point of having a police officers then, might as well make them national guard. Guess we better get used to it...Point: if using explosives disturbed you...seek counseling

Maybe the point is that 99.99% of law enforcement's job does not involve neutralizing a threat.

So in your opinion, Micah Johnson is a "legendary son". From your posts is sounds as though you are working yourself into the same frenzy that he apparently did (you should post less and read some of the news articles about your "legendary son")
I would advise against following his lead, as it sounds you are willing to do!Comment

Police agencies ARE para-military organizations. Saying that they should not utilize certain equipment that YOU deem appropriate for the military only, is naive.
Granted if the police carpet bombed him, taking out a few blocks in the process, I too would be outraged.
I understand that you just don't like the use of explosives the way they were used in Dallas.
But again, if it's legal it's legal....and you call me thick....Comment

Who would be higher than the Chief? The Governor? The President? They had plenty of time to intervene. They didn't, because the Chief made the right choice.Originally posted by palmsdon't believe any of the press conference b.s. the statements are prepared by attorneys, p.r. guys and the top brass prior to,and anyone who talks is coached on what and what not to say, the p.d's lie just like ever other public department or office. the fact is the p.d. wanted him dead, soon, before someone of higher authority steps in and changes the plan and I don't blame them
I agree, don't trust the "powers" all the time...you have to use your common sense.
I have some extra heavy tin foil if you need some...

A very truthfull statement. I know 6 honorably retired LEO, that each have over 30 yrs on. None of which ever fired their service weapons while on duty. And they patrolled some of the crappiest ghettos in LA Cnty.
A dead turd, is a good turd. Boom and done, CyaComment
