Find a pawn shop. The first PPT I did was at Turners 1 hour+. A guy I sold a gun to said he'd DROS at Alamo Pawn in W Covina. 10 minutes, granted we were the only two in the store and both employees worked on it. Just did an interstate at Ace's Jewelry & Loan also in W Covina 20 minutes - I was second in line - used them because they only charge $25 & DROS. Ade's Gun & Pawn in Orange did a swap there we both had unusual guns so there was the obligatory ooh&ahh session before we got started still only took about 20 minutes for the 2 old guys to get us out the door.

Send a picture of the sign to DOJ.
We've only been talking about the time to do the actual PPT paperwork on arrival. What you don't see is the cost of storage, insurance on the store contents, time expended to deliver the gun, and the big amount of hassle/time when a buyer is denied/delayed.

I personally do not inform to law enforcement on anything. Just a rule of thumb in my life and personal beliefs. If others choose to do so I really don't care and I can see the justification in this case. As for signs stating illegal fees Elite Firearms in Orange and in Laguna Niguel have them up stating $40 PPT cost.

I was selling my SA mil spec to a buddy of mine. I specifically chose fowlers for the ppt because they are known to sometimes have in stock wilsons, which I wanted to check out before I bought one. Start the ppt, no issue really. As the paperwork is being done I'm looking at the 1911's, and some old lady, who I acted like she was the owner of the store, came out and started complaining about doing ppt's and how we were wasting their time. Couldn't believe how ridiculous she was being. Finished the ppt and left. I still haven't found my Wilson, but I refuse to give them business ever.

Fowlers has been known for PPT games. They used to have timeframes where they would not do them like on weekends. They are known PPT crybabies. They are also known for sky high prices I am sure you noticed that.

Get Loaded in Grand Terrace are some amazing people. Haven't bought from them yet but they already have my business.

Warrior One has been nothing but helpful. Sure they are a little on the higher side but they are also down the street from my work. Good people who just happen to be part of a culture that gets crap. Also, I am sorry you old farts don't like Dre.

How many of you still fail to understand that is beyond me. Oak Tree threw us under the bus as California gun owners, with the desire for their personal profit.

Why any of you would even consider to continue to do business with them defies comprehension.
^This. I also remember who went to bat defending them.

I turned 40 I guess I'm old. Actually I do like Dre so that is not the reason I don't go to Warrior 1. The Chronic was a rap masterpiece. Actually shops that play country music bother me.

The DOJ would give them a medal.

I have given them a time out before but not due to PPT they had an employee I disliked so much I refused to shop there while he was still employed there I even told her that. Read Ade's Yelp reviews they are entertaining.
Wow they really went down the crapper. It used to be the store I would give my business to when I lived at Camp Pendleton, just because of how customer friendly they were. I actually bought my Polytech M-14S there, probably paid a little more but paid for the Customer service. When did the old guy whom I thought was "Ade" sell it?

It has been a while now at least a few years? Ade's Yelp reviews are generally OK but some date back to the old owner. New owner becomes absolutely unglued on Yelp when someone gives a negative review. Ade's used to have signs posted how they would not take ship ins of guns from Buds that policy seems to have been quietly shelved. Maybe lost too many customers from that as well.

Guess who is gonna go "waste" oak tree's time and "cause them to lose money" today, i.e. adhere to legal mandates on transferring a firearm

I did a PPT at Turners a few weeks back. Second person in the store and got started right away. A second group was there for the same thing, they told them only 1 PPT at a time, even though they had no other customers to help. They waited about about 15 min then started the other guys PPT.

Didn't really get any complaints about the transfer. But the manager did give me the third degree on whether I had all the necessary paper work, which of course I did.
