I am badly outnumbered here with people commenting negatively. If u have nothing positive to say please don't post.
I'm POSITIVE that your original post started out with YOU negatively commenting about other shooters.

        Thank you.

I agree with you that he has made some unwarranted disparaging remarks that reflect some maturity and ego issues.

fews years back had a guy next to my lane eyeballing my 92fs

he finally broke the ice and asked me a few questions about how i liked that model, told me he had never shot a Beretta before

i popped a magazine into the well and handed it to him, told him to try a few rounds in his lane...he loved it, said he was gonna purchase one as soon as he could fund it

about 8 months later there he was at the range again...he had his own 92fs

not something i normally do, but i made an exception

At the County range I am much more generous than when I'm out in the sticks. BUT if the asking person is polite, I am probably going to say yes.

I've let strangers finger bangz my guns, as long as it works both ways & they at least reciprocate or offer. I don't let them go nuts on ammo. No one has ever abused the privelege.

                      I mostly shoot Glocks.

Nobody asks to shoot my Glocks. Problem solved

A calgunner Mac attack let me shoot his K-31. I fell in love with it. Two weeks later I bought one. I never had a problem letting others shoot my firearms. In fact I have gotten a lot of free once fired brass because of it.

It's not like you have the crown jewels or the original bill of rights on hand, it's a freakin' ar15. Hygiene? You can't transfer AIDS through sweaty beards.

Agreed. OP, you're probably a good guy and as a fellow member of CGN and a firearm enthusiast, you're a friend of mine; however, you kinda came off as a snob in your original post. Be a good steward to the 2A. I'm not saying that you should let the dude with MS13 tattooed to his face shoot your Python, but if an inexperienced kid with a 10/22 came up wanting to know more about your AR it ain't going to hurt to give him five minutes of your time. These people vote and they make their decisions based on their experiences.

Way back in the good old days, a few of us calgunners (prince50, AlB, 50shooter) met to shoot our .50BMG rifles at Angeles once a month or so. They always made us go to the end by the clay throwers and inevitably someone would wander down and watch us shoot. We would pick a frightened looking likely candidate and say "hey you wanna try the .50?" With much fear and trepidation they would listen to our lecture and get behind the rifle, the fearful anticipation was palpable. Always a good time.

                              Miss those days..... VFTR baby!

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FRIKKING DESERT! ALONE! VS. 5 UNKNOWNS WITH GUNS! IN POSESSION OF 5-10,000 BUCKS WORTH OF RIFLES! GTFOH! You better be packin a side arm and a backup before you even consider handing a highpowered rifle to a group of drunk 20 somethin john does. Seriously, alone, I would have a 1 mile no fly zone. WHAT A ****ING BAD DECISION.
I haven't looked at what embellishments the OP has added in the last day to his original post, but a public range is one thing, out on BLM something completely different.

I don't like having anyone around me when I am out in the desert. People are like pigeons, however, they like to flock together. Sometimes when I am out shooting alone guys will drive straight over to me from the horizon and set up 50 feet away. I will usually ask them to go somewhere else ("Hey, look, you got the whole desert."). If they won't move, I will. I am unlikely to be very welcoming and friendly with these people.

If I saw them drinking while shooting I would definitely get the hell out of there. They wouldn't even have time to come over and ask to borrow my guns.
