I see these posts from time to time and I normally just cringe and move on. My response is not only to youu, but to the other posts I have read and those I will read....

If you think Disney security is a joke, you are fooling yourself. They make casino security look like second rate parking lot attendants. The number of cameras and points fot security to appear "out of nowhere" is simply stunning.

With all the people in the park, some in very poor health, making their last journey to the park, ever wonder why you never see sick or injured for any length of time? Cardiac events - multiple times a day. Some chest pains, some full arrest. They have an amazing aid station, Anaheim fire keeps a paramedic crew there full time. Yet, you probably didn't see any of that today. Ambulance transports are a daily occurance.

Perhaps you think there are so few belligerent eople there because only nice people go? They didn't get wished away, and they wernt confronted in view of the public.

Disney has literally billions of dollars st risk. Do you not think they take security seriously?

Name another private company that can get their property restricted from overflight.

The checkpoint is to put people's mind at ease, it is far from the only security. Just like a firearm should never be your only security at home.

Of the gun free zones we must obey, and thoes we should obey to retain the permits we have all worked hard to receive, it seems foolish to risk. But risk vs reward is something we all weigh in our daily lives. You are free to make your own informed choices.

But if caught printing or adjusting, expect to see a whole side of the park you never knew existed, with people at a level iof preparedness and determination you didn't expect. If you think concealed applies only to your firearm, you have seriously not assesed your surroundings. Perhaps you will even get to meet the unseen Anaheim PD and tour their detention area.

PM me if you want further details.

What makes Disneyland Disneyland is the experience. Would you rather it be like going to the airport? I'm sure that would go over well. Mickey mouse waving a metal detector around you and telling you to take your shoes off and empty your pockets...

I believe Disney has good security in place, my point was only to point out the irony of the guy in front of me being tossed out for a simple knife, and me walking right through.
And I was there Wednesday, and yes the line wait times were awesome

            Yeah...

Disney security is not some old fart in a crew member costume.
They do have very well trained plain clothes agents, possibly armed, with cute Micky Badges.

As to the more heavy security, take the monorail and in the Backlot there is a nice little police station.

I will not comment on the number of officers there or if they have a designated SWAT team.

            Edit:
P.S. The cops at Disneyland are probably making close to $100/hour, right now.

I will let you think of the training that would warrant such a high pay.

As someone who worked at Disney years ago, my brother worked there for 8 years and even my dad back in the day.. Disney has a legit on prem security team. But as many said here, its all about show.

However, the "show" is working because most of you think its a joke. In reality they have a dedicated police force in addition to security team in both parks, downtown disney and the hotels. Much of said force is plain clothes, and they do pack.

Problem guests are usually quietly whisked away through "hidden" doors throughout the park. These are doors normal cast members use too, it just so happens they are built in such a way they are hard to see. But Disney has its own armed police/security team(s) and on prem fire department as well. Additionally there run strict drills they run for scenarios much of you think would render people defenseless. Anaheim PD is a "me too" and "legal" CYA solution for Disney. They mostly handle all security concerns internally and quietly.

The "show" is working as expected, carry on.

Last I heard, Disney is a privately owned, corporate entity. They can require or restrict pretty much what they want. I've never been there, but if I decided to go, I'd honor the rule.

As others have suggested, I have a sneaking suspicion that Disneyland's security is quite a bit more robust than some of you think. Next time you're there, keep an eye on the small things Disney does. The subtleties are all around, suggesting that Disney isn't ****ing around but aren't going to make a show about it either.

Disneyland is one of those places that would be horrendous for a defensive shoot. Waaaaaaaaay too many people there. The potential for hitting a bystander is just too great, most of which are children.

So, if you anticipate going to a place a needing a defensive weapon, don't go. If you think Disneyland has sunk so low that you need to CCW, don't go.

I don't go to Disneyland because I hate crowds, plus I'm not 10 years old.
