Kudos to RifleGear for being up front. OP, take them up on their offer, accept their apology and get over yourself.

Extend the barrel, magazine modification and a bullet button.
There is one on the wall of a LGS down the street from me. Not a snipe hunt. It sounds like they are doing what they can to straighten the situation out. I've had it happen to me, but it's not the end of the world. An inconvenience yes, but to throw a hissy fit and attempt to shame them is kind of out there.Comment

A quick google search tells me that a fake can to extend the barrel will run around $90.
RifleGear sells the PS90 BB for $75.
Who knows that it'll cost them to either modify the mags or just swap it out with a few 10 rounders.
OP, it sounds like you're getting off light with the $150 they quoted you to neuter that thing. Take the deal they offered and then go google how much it's going to cost to feed your new toy.As the great warrior poet Ice Cube once said "If the day does not require an AK, it is good."Comment

I am the first person to rag on a gun store for lack of customer service and so on. Just the fact that this gun seller is acknowledging the issue and offering to compensate in some way, any way, to me is good enough. These stores must operate at a profit to stay in business and everyone has a problem from time to time. We need these stores to stay in business. Take the free ammo and call it good. The OP was shopping at RifleGear and purchasing a PS90. He ordered the Non-CA version online, so we needed to collect additional funds for the CA compliance parts when he came into the store. We did just switch to a new accounting system and have been having more problems with inventory and processing credit cards than normal. We received a "Declined" response from our processor on all three cards when attempting the charge, but upon further investigation the next day our processor said they did have an authorization for all three. So we apologized for the inconvenience and offered to make it up to him with a discount, free ammo, or covering the transfer fee to a dealer closer to him. The OP said he would have to call us back, so we are waiting on him at this point.Comment

enegue guessed the right rifle. They offered 5% off and a free fsc. So, I gave them a chance and I will leave you all to decide if this is a place that you would risk shopping at. As someone suggested take cash as a back up before you drive, even if it's $1600. And know if they make a mistake at the place heidad mentioned 5% is what they feel is adequate compensation. I'm going to follow Montclair's advice. You guys even figured out the store and the rifle by the little info I gave. I was hoping they would offer something that would make you want to shop there, what do you think? Would/will you?Comment

They did. They offered you an apology, fair compensation for your trouble, and even stopped by this very thread to set the record straight.enegue guessed the right rifle. They offered 5% off and a free fsc. I would absolutely do business with a company like that given my sense of entitlement has a long way to go before I expect anything more than a simple apology from ANYONE for an honest mistake like that.Comment

$105 seems fair. Of course, not to a guy who expects half a case of ammo as compensation. I would suggest YOU shop elsewhere...enegue guessed the right rifle. They offered 5% off and a free fsc. I quit using the big guys like Turners, Riflegear, Ammobros, etc last year. I found a local guy that actually appreciates my business, and it shows. What a shock!!! I pay a little more. I'm paying for the customer service and satisfaction. I dont have to wait 30 minutes when I walk into his gun locker. He's a gun guy, not some tool spreading fud like some of these other stores keep in their employ. Never any attitude or acting cocky. When i walk in there I dont feel like I stumbled into a welfare office. I dealt with a kid at one of the bigger stores last year who knew very little about the firearm I was purchasing but faked it and acted all cocky like he knew everything. Couldn't have been a day over 22 years old.
My time is valuable to me in that I work 60-70 hours a week and don't have time for BS. So, I'm happy to pay a slight premium for good service. The problem is the Walmartification of America. People just go for the okie doke and accept getting treated poorly at retailers. I go out of my way to avoid this. Its a choice, there are better retailers out there but you will pay more. While some of you take a number and wait 45 minutes to save 30 bucks or so, I'm onto other things.Comment

I would absolutely shop there. You, however, are someone I don't want to do business with.
