Recent update -

I called Turners in Orange County.

the guy said they have on order 200 KSG's that they are expecting the end of October.

They have taken deposits on 230 of them. They are not taking any more deposits until the first batch arrives.


Just thought I would pass this on to everyone.

Is that all of Turners or just that store?

I am pretty sure that was just the Orange Store. He had me wait while he looked at his log book on how many they were receiving into that store.

Apparently EVERYONE and their grandmother are trying to get these things.

And they are being ordered like wild fire in California.

Does Kel-Tec make anything good?

Some would say no. Others here have said yes. I say meh. In in my opinion they haven't made anything that has impressed me. I wouldn't mind trying out a KSG if one ever materializes.

I thought I liked them until they started jamming on me and then someone on this board said it is a known problem and you have to polish the bottom of the bolt.

I had a similar problem called the company and they sent me a new extractior/spring(free) and offered to walk me through the install. I told them I'd call back it I couldn't figure it out. Swapped it out and haven't had a problem since. Quick & easy and worth the time if you plan on keeping them.

Finally had the opportunity to try one

I finally had the opportunity to try one when I found one laying around. It worked flawlessly. It was powerful but range was limited. Once I respawned I lost it.

Seriously Kel-Tek, it's in Call of Duty MW3 so this is as high as demand is ever going to be. Start mass producing them already.

Still want one, recently bought a Mossberg 930spx, the 15 rd capacity is very tempting! So it looks like an m4 and the KSG will be in my safe in the future.

"Latest word from the factory (straight from Chad's mouth) is they are currently in production and expect to release right before Kel-Tec closes for Christmas. <shrug>"

and

"Chad said that they were in production now but wouldn't release until right before they closed for Christmas in the hope that they would be able to provide a much greater initial number than previous releases. They seem to want to avoid the frustrations of the past several releases.

everywhere im calling is all full, kel tec is no longer taking deposits themselves as far as i know.
but in all honesty, whats the rush?? when they produce these, they'll be selling a bunch and we can all have one

My only rush is IF they are available in California I want to purchase it before the DOJ bans them. That is why I am trying to rush to purchase one.

+1,000,000 Plus Kel Tec is a small company and if the KSG is a hot seller, we don't how well they will keep up with the demand.
