lol...how is that 'racist'? OP never mentioned anything about his 'race', just his immigration status. He could be a red-headed Canadian with freckles.

I like Big 5. Get my merino wool socks there for $3.99 on sale.

I've posted this before, but the manager at Orange Big 5 threw me out of the store for nicely asking him if I could put a pile of CALGUNS flyers on the gun counter.

So **** THEM. I've never had a positive experience at the store in Orange.
Yes, I go once every 2 years to buy a $25 watch that would cost me $60 anywhere else. (Umm, I'm so irritated by these 'tards' that I'll probably stop that also).

Little 5 is so weak, their ammo prices are DOUBLE what even the worst priced ammo is.

So, I HOPE they go out of business.

All this for buying a shotgun? a long gun purchase only needs current driver's license, car registration or Utility bills are not required.

thats if your a U.S. Citizen. Resident Aliens (like us) have to provide additional information to prove 90 days residence.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it. Did you check the date that policy was written? I bet 1996 when AOL 1.0 was HOT!

Also, cute girl working the counter didnt help, but when she took down the mossberg I was looking at, and racked it like it should be, I swear I had a half chub.

Ohh, yeah. My store always has at least one, sometimes two very cute girls that wear business clothes, but 2 sizes too small. everything it tight, pushed up and out.

They know they look cute too.

The only reason I have paper bills sent to me anymore is solely to complete DROS checks. And they don't like Mobile phone bills either.

If you have credit card statements, those also satisfy the federal 90-day requirements. Feds require "original documentation":

                          20(c)

Acceptable documentation to prove 90-day continuous residency must be original documentation (e.g. utility bills, current bank statements, rent receipts, mortgage payments, lease agreements, personal property tax bills, documents issued by Federal, State, or local government agencies, first-class mail issued by government agency, insurance policies, or bill with current address or major credit card bill.

Yes there are...unfortunately the bad apples get more press than the good ones. I get that though, when good service goes down like a nice crisp (insert your favorite apple here), you're probably too occupied enjoying it to say much. I asked my local store... who is a decent guy knows some stuff, guides you the right way till he doesnt know anymore. I asked him regarding the training staff gets on the hunting & fishing dept.? he said their is a yearly training offered to employees but due to turn over nobody stays around enough to go & learn. When you go you get to shoot every gun they sell; so no handguns. its the luck of the draw if the counter guy went, or knows about products.

Only Managers and Asst. Managers are invited to those shoots. From what I understand from a gun owning competent Manager is that the only let you shoot guns, they don;t teach you about them.

At the 2 Big 5 stores I've worked at both always send me to the gun section because I know my **** over "trained" employees.

I've had my Asst. Managers ask me about Straw purchases and all kinds of stuff. Today I had my asst manager tell a customer we ha lead free 00 buck in stock. When I question her (I had already checked) she said we had lead free slugs..... slugs do not = 00 buck......
