      Just go to www.Dinzagarms.com

His trigger groups are drop-in and he sells the good carbide drills that make the disassembly quick. Get a trigger guard that has a built-in grip nut so you can avoid having to cut a square hole in the receiver for the PG nut. With those parts and tools you can be done in one evening and call it a day.

I say do it yourself tac-47 trigger guard and FCG, solar tactical BB, rust-oleum textured black paint and just plug the holes, entry level dremel kit will get the job done.

The OP, if you do this....god will s**t stomp a puppy in your name also.

Please don't give that Saiga 12 a tumor that will need to be removed.

Is that the kushnapup? I've been wondering if people were finally receiving these. I think its pretty cool. I am not really big on bullpups but for some reason the kushnapup looks pretty cool to me. Also the new Kel-tek KSG?? is looking pretty cool too. The bullpup design is slowly growing on me, or atleast shotguns in bullpup form

They walk through the entire conversion process. It doesn't look difficult at all.

Those videos are what convinced me I couldn't do it. While I do have a pair of needle nose pliers and a hammer, I don't have a huge power drill, and bolting a vice to my kitchen table would look silly...

I was at my friend's house helping him with something when the package from CSS arrived, so I drove home and picked it up along with the S12. I wasn't planning on doing the conversion at his house but I couldn't help myself.

I did it with a weak cordless drill, no needle nose pliers, no vice and no help. I also forgot I needed to paint after removing the bottom trigger plate, so I had to get that before proceeding. On my way to the store I remembered to grab the Dremel from my house so I could cut the rear tang for the Ace stock.

Now all that has been said there shouldn't be any reason for you not to DIY. or forget the necessary tools for the job.

It's all up to you but I think anybody can do it. Just make sure you have the retaining plate... it makes life easier.

                        Here it is:

It's not done yet... Trigger guard needs to be permanent, holes welded, and maybe barrel shortened. I'll find out after I shoot it.

So, in about ten days or so I'll be looking for a place to get my new Saiga-12 modified with, at the very least, a pistol grip.

Does anyone know if there are any shops in SoCal that do this kind of work? I've found a variety of places where I could order parts, but I need some place to do the work, too.

Also, does anyone know of a resource that describes what all the parts and modifications out there actually are and/or what they do? One website lists a page of modifications they can perform, but if you don't already know what they are, it's not very helpful, and while they said they could answer questions about them, they haven't responded since I asked what each procedure was and why one might want it.

Finally, are the various bullet-buttons out there easily removable when visiting shooting ranges in the United States, or in case of zombie apocalypse/invasion by the Andorran Legions/etc.? I would imagine so, but some of the ones I've seen pics of seem to look far more complicated than others...

                          Thanks!
What kind of parts did you have questions about? We'll be glad to answer your questions...
As far as basic conversions - just look for parts. Most all pistol grips and stocks that fit AK-47s and 74s will fit; some folders will require more modification to the receiver and fixing to prevent any folding/retracting/telescoping.

You CAN do this by yourself with simple tools.

Step 1: find all the parts you want to put on it; trigger group, stock, pistol grip, rail, muzzle device... or more

Step 2: read, follow this guide

Step 3: watch and learn, this video will help you get that BHO spring back in

You dont need a vice, it just helps. With the money you would spend sending it to someone else to do the work you could easily buy the tools to do it yourself, and then you would have them for a lifetime.

I have a buddy that works in a machine shop who has done a couple of these conversions. I'll link him to this thread so he can see if there's anything he can do for you. It'll be fast and comparatively inexpensive (but we're both in North County San Diego FYI).

I've been in touch with a helpful member who was offering to assist with his shop and expertise, and now it looks like there's a build party going on on the 21st, so I'll be doing the work myself after all. With help from the experts and their well-stocked machine shops, of course... heh...
