Hey now, nothing wrong with using grenades for hunting from time to time.

But seriously, hunting isn't about "leveling the playing field" for a lot of people. For most people it's about getting meat. Period. For that, I'll use whatever means necessary and is practical.

If hunting is more of a game of skill for you, sure, use a bow and arrow. Or better, use a knife, or EVEN better, use your bare hands.

And I was serious about grenades.

living in LA i've never personally met anyone who's goal is to get meet. i thought meat grew on Styrofoam trays

not sure u would have much actual meat left w/ grenades. a little toxic also. i think a ww1 trench knife would be fair although u should be able to tack on a stick to level out a bear's striking reach difference......just to be fair, mind u.

It's fun for the range but a pain to reload.

They are one of the worst field guns I have ever held. Heavy, unbalanced and swing like a 4x4 fence post.

I'm pretty sure they weren't designed with hunting in mind.

Might want to double-check me on that though.

As a non hunter I have to ask why the S12 wouldn't work well? I'm genuinly interested to hear what hunters who have used it have to say.

I guess it depends on the type of hunting. For wing-shooting I can think of better options as far as accuracy and balance are concerned. I'm thinking that big heavy magazine hanging off the bottom might be kind of a hindrance.

But then I've never tried dove hunting with a Saiga. . .

They were actually designed for hunting, believe it or not. Whether they're good for that or not, I'll leave it to people who actually hunt (which I don't), but they were originally designed for hunting.

For rifles it's "folding or telescoping" stock. For shotguns, is it just folding stock, or is it "folding and telescoping" stock, as well?
