What would you do if you just got 400 guns that were backordered for over a year dumped on you and the parts you rely on, were caught up in some Corporate Dung Show, with no idea when they will show up?

I'd bet you'd try to do the best you can with what you've got to work with?

They are having normal parts they usually buy from Remington made locally because Remington can't supply them. That takes time to Reverse Engineer those parts and find machine shops that can actually make them.

If it was that easy, you'd be doing it!

Everybody is struggling right now with Covid, and the pain and anguish that the Biden Butt Clowns have reeked on this country. They have F*&^ed everything up, and yet many people think they are doing a great job?

Well they are doing a great job F*&^ing everything up!

I called my plater jsut before I wrote this looking to see when my parts are going t be done. None of the employees are there today because they are attending an "Immigration Protest!". I said WTF? These are all Mexicans protesting immigration policy when the border is wide open? They should be protesting all the people from 150 countries around the world coming here taking their jobs!

But NO the Democrats tell them what to do, and the obedient little sheep do what they are told. Except many are figuring out that they are just being used by people who promise everything for your vote and then deliver nothing in return. Maybe things will change? Maybe?.

Until then this is what I think about them vvvvv and you better get on board with this little set of rules because they are running YOUR life right now!

I would think that after 4 years from the initial bankruptcy and your biz is dependent on Remington for parts, Vang Comp would have tried to stay ahead of the shortages. So the reverse engineering and subsequent replication should have been addressed IMO.

Probably the hardest part to replicate are the stampings. But there are a ton of stamping houses begging for work. As far as machine shops there is one around every corner, including myself. But instead of hoarding P.O.s that I cannot fill in a timely manner I just refuse the work. Jacking the customer around is FUBAR. Not good for a reputation.

I hope these "KIDS" can hang on. Seems people want the products.

I received my barrel Monday. They shipped it out Saturday. I spoke to Cody and he said the work was done, but someone removed the tag and didn't put it back on.

Looks good, especially the front sight. Will take it out this weekend to zero/co-witness with the RDS and to see how it performs.

The Vang comp fan bois are out in force. Seriously, ported shotguns for hd? That’s like a precision musket job. Try a choke, better shells or god forbid a carbine. The experiences shared sound like a hard hell no for work.

You can think what you like, but if you haven't shot one you don't know what you are missing. The recoil is changed from a sharp smack to a smooth push the porting seriously diminishes the muzzle rise which gets you on target for follow up shots faster. Plus 00 Buckshot into 7" at 25 yards makes 00 Buck viable out to 50 yards.

Whatever,,, you guys are already set in your ideas. Enjoy not having this done.

And I just saw your PM WRB....kind of odd request. I would hope people would share objective info.

I was asking you to be objective! And trying to get you to counteract the naysayers that are so prevalent on this site with some positive feedback.

I thought I was doing you a favor by intervening on your behalf?

The barrel looks pretty nice to me, and none of mine have the Vang Comp Logo on them. It may have taken longer than expected but at least it came back done right.

Now you need to get your butt over to Front Sight (which is back operating as normal) and do a Shotgun Class with that gun so you can see the difference in the recoil and the patterning. Then you can give some truly Objective Feedback. Just popping off a few rounds at the range is not going to show the difference, you need to fire hundreds of rounds.

I hoped that you had shot the gun alot before sending it, so you'd have some real reference as to what the recoil was like before and after. You might want to go to my Sticky Thread above and see some of the other things you can to do Mitigate recoil and increase the shootability of the gun. All based on my Trial and Error Experiences while trying to master these guns.

With #8 Birdshot it should completely erase the paint on the head of a Steel Target at 15 yards with one shot. That is because of the "pattern density" due to the Vang Comp process.

When I post here, most of the stuff I put up is Completely Objective and backed by My First Hand Experience. I don't post BS or a bunch of Negative crap if I don't like something I say so, and provide the objective reasons why I don't like it.. Sorry but my First Hand Experience "TRUMPS" the naysayers opinions with no experience whatsoever on any subject they post on. People that only post Negative Crap are just not Happy People.

I get real sick of all the Negative BS on this site. It is the only place I frequent that is like this. You won't see any of this whining and BS peddling over at Castboolits, and if they persisted they'd be banned. If you don't have anything positive to add to a conversation then why don't you just STFU!

                        I waited about 18 months for a PWS 7.62x39 11.5" upper.

My Accuracy Systems Mini 14 took about 9 months to build and then I had to send it back because I didn't like the barrel and it took another 2+ months.

On the other hand, when I had frame work done on my Glock 41 it took less than a week. When the package came back so quickly, I thought USPS had returned to sender.

I think you must have me confused with someone else because the information you posted here didn't match what was actually happening with my barrel.

My barrel hadn't shipped out when you said it did and it wasn't being cerakoted when you said it was.

And you couldn't pay me to go to Front Sight. Quantity does not equal quality.

Hi All, I also have my 870P waiting to be back from Vang Comp. It has been about 6 months since I have sent it in, but I believe ultimately it will be worth the wait. For what it is worth. Taran Tactical took 7 months to stipple by Glock 34 frame, no other gunsmithing request. And unlike Vang Comp, they took my money first . At least I am not out of a shotgun and money this time around
