Midwayusa .22 lr fail!

I ordered 300 cases and 100 buckets of .22 and they cancelled when I told them I don't have a forklift and a loading ramp at my house. Midway is on my S-list too.

Seriously now: good for Midway they decided to cancel orders from hoarders. It's the only way we'll be able to end this .22 ammo B.S. shortage.
I went last week to Walmart in El Centro, they had plenty of Winchester .22 in 222 round boxes because they allowed only 3 boxes per customer per day. 666 rounds is more than enough ammo to shoot at the range in one day.

Midwayusa .22 lr fail!

My back order for one bucket of golden bullets was canceled today also. They say the manufacturer could not predict when they could ship product to them in the next twelve months. I understand that it is inventory they don't have and no projected date but I don't care. It was a request of mine the I would pay for when its shipped - my request and funds remain available. Just the product is not available, so what. Supply will catch up. I strongly feel they should have reconfirmed our desire for the product before canceling. This was not thought through.

Glad noozeyeguy posted the actual email, this isn't unusual for them to do if they have no idea when they can get the product on a consistent basis from the manufacturer just like with reloading powder. Its easier to cancel and allow everyone to find it where they can sooner or it allows them to find other avenues to fill the void and is probably easier than to deal with the blowout of everyone being mad cause the order took 9-15 months from now, its the lesser of the evils. Back orders clog the system and when you have people back ordering from 2,3,4 or more places and then cancelling orders from the rest when one comes in it probably screws the crap out of their projections for future inventory.

I've been able to shoot/buy & sell .22lr, for the last few years, so I can't complain. I'd mention my experience, what I've bought & sold, but some take it as a measuring contest. I got a few back orders & more recently have had a few cancelled. Again, No complaints here. I shot several calibers last week & will go again likely Friday or Monday!

I understand when we expect something, sometimes it pisses us off, I get that. FWIW, I got a Stormlake conversion barrel G23-9MM from midway today at the best price around. Shipping was 3.99! I got smoked at Brownells for an instock barrel they were supposed to have, but it worked out. It just worked out at another vendor...

They just cancelled my .22lr order (5000 rounds of minimags, on backorder over a year).

My credit card info was good, they claim they don't know when it will be back in stock, and like others I've seen minimags come into stock and ship from their site.

Their policy has been to cancel backorders at a year, for SEVERAL years. They're not out to get you, they're just following their company policy. If I order something from someone and they can't get it in a year, I'm not going to care if they cancel it, and never charge me.

It's ridiculous I tell you. CCI, Remington, Winchester can't keep up with the demand. I'm not about to pay $10 for a box of RWS Premium target.
