    I switched to .223. I still oil the .22's every 6 months.

+1 This is what is written on their website.

Backorders open longer than 365 days will be cancelled.

yeah... you too have contributed significantly to the ammo shortage. although yes, it isn't fair at all that they used new product to sell to new buyers instead of filling your back order.

Seriously now: good for Midway they decided to cancel orders from hoarders. It's the only way we'll be able to end this .22 ammo B.S. shortage.
I went last week to Walmart in El Centro, they had plenty of Winchester .22 in 222 round boxes because they allowed only 3 boxes per customer per day. 666 rounds is more than enough ammo to shoot at the range in one day.
300 cases (i assume several thousand rounds a case) and 100 buckets (i assume at least 1k per bucket)? isn't this hoarder status?

also, unless you could pay for your own ups/fedex driver for a day to sit there while you unload the ammo box by box, i don't blame them. it'd be unfair to the other orders in the UPS/fedex truck (or against shipping company policy to have a truck sit there for that long while someone unloaded) or midway (who would probably have to pay for the drivers time + shipping co lost revenue from all those other packages not getting delivered) b/c someone didn't have the proper equipment to unload their order.

Nah, that's only 1,640,000 rounds. 3,280 bricks of 500... or ten years of serious rimfire shooting. $90,000 - $130,000 worth. Don't hate. Congratulate.

My order for 500 rounds was also canceled.

So in January, will we still be able to get ammo sent from other states? That is the only way I have been able to get 22lr.

SB53 the ammo mail order ban failed this year so no worries about mail ordering ammo.

It is pretty surprising how most ammo calibers are easy to get now, but .22 rimfire is harder than when the original rimfire ammo finds thread was running full steam. It seems much more scarce today, but I don't buy it anymore. Maybe I am just not seeing it because I am not looking all the time?

Your right .22 lr was way easier to get online about a year ago. I think more people caught onto the fact you can get it online so now it goes very fast.

I'm still working on shooting the ammo I scored from that rimfire finds thread, hopefully it'll last me until .22 lr is readily available again.

My bo was cancelled as well. 2 cases of minimags nov2013. I dont mind the one year bo policy, I do mind the fact they were selling minimags individually without filling bo first.

I wont be giving midway anymore of my hard earned dollars. Midsouth here we come!

Done with Midway when they cancelled my Back order...better deals out there in any event...

But what about next year? Or the year after that?
A lot of the "hoarding", especially in my case, has been a hedge against possible legislation and, more immediately, the rising cost of ammo. I dont have hundreds of thousands of rounds of .22, but with a large family, we are all set for the next 10 years or so at a few thousand rounds a year just in regular ammo. The target ammo will last me a lifetime since I'm the only one shooting it. Buy cheap, stack it deep.

Got the same email for my backorder of a case of .22lr. Sucks to see that it came in to stock multiple times through out the year but they sold it one box at a time with high shipping to other vulnerable customers. Midway will no longer receive my nor my family's business.
