Unless you have oxidative ammo, water and air aren't that big of an issue and even then it doesn't make the difference you'd think it would. Any amount of water in storage that will harm plastic will rust through metal, and I've seen cases of ammo stored in crappy 3rd world warehouses since the 40's and 50's with nothing air or water tight that shot just fine unless the cases or jackets had actually pitted.

Apples and Oranges...

Could've also had a sealed primer, neck or both.
There's a reason they used corrosive back then.
NATO however forced a change to PA-101 with the adoption of 7.62x51(.308)
This in turn required new strategies for long term storage of military ammo.
Modern storage techniques in the western world, for the most part, don't require them today.
Some Eastern military still use them though...
However, Please don't confuse those that don't know the difference.
Modern non-cor(PA-101...lead styphnate)ammo's not bad, but will definitely not fair the same.
They're quite a bit more sensitive to moisture and temp...
Then there's the 1's made with lead azide, potassium perchlorate, or DDNP.
Don't even get me started on the less accurate Lead-free crap...
Hence why storage choice is important especially if Non-cor ammo is not sealed at the N&P.
I agree on the rust with metal but there's a reason the military still use watertight steel.
I had a bud lose some of his ammo, powder & primers because,
he trusted the waterproof claim that plastic was the same when his basement flooded.
Hope this helps...

A tad bit expensive...
Unless U really need it, I'd wait...60 and change is alot better than ~$75. YMMV
U'd do better with the Aguila Match for $53.99 in both rifle and pistol using MAR15 to get $15off.
(Or maybe the Norma and Aguila?)
Basically save the ship fee.

So if anyone ordered swamp people mini-mags from swfa the other night and you think you scored...you didnt. I just checked my order history and the ar-15 mount I ordered with the ammo shipped but I was refunded for the mini mags. Get this though I was charged full shipping charges for the entire order for the mount that weighs one pound alone.
I called and the cs guy confirmed that is what happened but would not give me any sort of refund or put the ammo on backorder.
Apparently they never had any of this ammo in stock, it was a computer error. He also said they do not put "out of stock" on anything except very recently on .22 ammo now they do. They basically just let people order away on items that may be out of stock and they might put it on backorder or they might cancel it. Either way he says they do email people this but I checked all my folders and no email. I will never use swfa again and I would advise not to order any .22 from them as he says they next to never get any but sometimes the computer will show it in stock. Booooo!Comment

Turn out this way. Put them on your do not buy list. Refuse the delivery on the mount, and do a visa dispute. Don't let them get away with it. After it was posted, I made a post which said something like this would happen because of
Their crappy online reviews.Comment
