Stick it to 'em

You were the smart one. I was not. I emailed them my opinion on the whole thing and told them I would not be accepting their cheap scope mount that suddenly became an expensive scope mount.

If it's UPS or FedEx once U get a track#, Call to cancel or return to sender in-case they don't require a signature.

Save U the cash & hassle of shipping it back...
Then file a CC dispute and stick 'em with the ship charges as well as the intercept charge.
It's the least they deserve after the hosing pulled on U.
Hate to say it, but it sounds as though this is part of their MO.
Unfortunately, unless more trapped customers do this to hurt their bottom line, they'll never change.
(U know too many Charge-backs...lose their CC processor for 1.)

I'm not buyin' the comp glitch BS, with their Neg FB, could've been fixed by now.
Seems like an excellent way to sucker...err...I mean drum up business, no?

So if anyone ordered swamp people mini-mags from swfa the other night and you think you scored...you didnt. I just checked my order history and the ar-15 mount I ordered with the ammo shipped but I was refunded for the mini mags. Get this though I was charged full shipping charges for the entire order for the mount that weighs one pound alone.
I called and the cs guy confirmed that is what happened but would not give me any sort of refund or put the ammo on backorder.
Apparently they never had any of this ammo in stock, it was a computer error. He also said they do not put "out of stock" on anything except very recently on .22 ammo now they do. They basically just let people order away on items that may be out of stock and they might put it on backorder or they might cancel it. Either way he says they do email people this but I checked all my folders and no email. I will never use swfa again and I would advise not to order any .22 from them as he says they next to never get any but sometimes the computer will show it in stock. Booooo!

Same thing happened to me...ordered some minimags along with 2 boxes of other ammo....they canceled the .22 and QUICKLY shipped out the other ammo so I couldn't cancel my order.

Never ordering from them again.

I agree on the rust with metal but there's a reason the military still use watertight steel.
I had a bud lose some of his ammo, powder & primers because,
he trusted the waterproof claim that plastic was the same when his basement flooded.

All good points, but as a practical matter, I've yet to see any ammo go bad in storage that didn't get submerged. About the only "stale" ammo I've even heard of was stuff that got carried daily for years in high precipitation/humidity areas, and even that I wonder if it would shoot fine if it got stored somewhere dry for a while.

Basements are prime examples of where not to store ammo in either plastic or steel (although I agree the plastic will fail first). Between condensation cycles and flooding, it never seems to end well. I see a lot of food storage cans go bad for the exact same reasons.

Thanks for the link! They're also cheaper than the Big C had them ($5.99 + tax or shipping) a couple months ago.

I've shot quite a few of the Norma Tacs and they group nicely. IMO, worth the $.12/round if you are target shooting.

LH thanks for the link. Just an FYI for anyone wanting this though: 7.62x39 prices have settled at 21-22 cents for at least couple of months now for TULA, Wolf and sometimes even Bear and Golden Tiger. Just look on Gunbot and you can buy them any day of the week. Just pick a brand you like and see who has the best shipping price and go for it. No shortage here unlike 22LR.
