with that said my rifle doesnt have a big problem with many ammos, my S&W pistol on the other hand hates anything winchester but will cycle remmington golden goo all day... dirty ammo makes my hands sticky

Well... let's talk bout my .22 AR. I started it with mini mags since that's what I always use for breaking in a new gun and I had 20% jams. I started trying every kind of .22 I had and the only thing that ran reliably was Remington subsonics - the only Remington I've ever had luck with. After a brick of that I retested and more ammo started working but still not the CCI. After a thousand rounds of other stuff the mini mags started working 100%.

Oddly enough the ammo that's currently most accurate in it is CCI Standard.

You'll just have to try it. But no, I wouldn't expect the 5 cent/round CCI to be up to the standard of the 8/cent round CCI. Depending on your use you may or may not care.

Personally my go-to bulk round is the Federal in those 525 packs, but it's been a while since I've been able to get it at a reasonable price. If supplies were normalized I'd use Federal bulk, CCI for mid-grade, SK Magazine for serious rifle practice, Wolf Match Extra for matches. (SK Magazine is Wolf Match Extra that failed quality control for accuracy and was bulk packed. Sweet ammo.)

I have found CCI Standard Velocity shoot almost as well as the high priced target ammo and much better than any other regularly prices ammo in my Ruger 10/22.

For every 1 post on legitimate ammo, there are at least 20 with absolutely nothing related to ammo finds. Why does this thread exist anymore?
For everyone here who seems to believe that OVERPRICED .22 is a rare find these days, look up gunbot.net There are at least 200 SHYSTER .22 LR listings for sale any given day. Yes they are outrageous for the most part, but I'm naive enough to believe that's ammo as a whole now, right?

So I was picking up a couple thousand rounds from Cabelas last night.... the lady told me there is this store owner that has 6 of his employees refreshing browser tabs every day.

Walmart got Rem 525's of Golden Bullets! It is raining and the normal crowd must have been afraid of getting wet! Only 6 people there before me, walked up and bought a box and some 9mm!

My daughter asked "is that for my gun?" I said "yes" and she said "SCORE!" - Made the Clerk laugh!

Don't get your hopes up as I tend to side with HG on this 1.
I've had plenty of BO's w/Big C the past year, with multiple items in most and they all come through eventually.
That being said, they usually all tend to show the same date which then gets pushed if it doesn't materialize.

My Ruger 10/22 has eaten 100% of ammo feed, not counting issues with the ammo itself. Thunderbolts, Mini-mags, AR, Fed, not a single issue.
