Really don't need anymore 22 but hey whatever. 500 rounds won't hurt.

Pingo this thread will be very addictive. Especially once you see the "shipped" notifications. Get out now or risk catching "glow face". The 22 ammo guys know...Originally posted by OHODI guess I could rub my muff against his exwifes muff. Is that what they call muff diving?Originally posted by ivanimalI love you! (some Homo)

No worries, just passing along what the MASTERS here have taught this humble Grasshopper.
Hang out, hit it everyday for a brick here and 1K box there and pretty soon you'll have "enough". Mostly chatting on the weekends but Cabela's must have got a rail car FULL of Blazer, it's been available all day. Oh and you'll want to be around on MONDAY if you can.... that's generally the GOOD day.
If you haven't make sure you have an account all set up with your info at Cabela's and Gander Mountain - sometimes when the good stuff hits you have a short window to get the order in
Good Hunting!

The Blazers at Cabela's keep coming up in stock, which has been going on for a few days now. Looks like the 20% price hike is definitely doing its share to push the market back to equilibrium between supply and demand. Perhaps that's the beginning of the end of the shortage.
I'm interested in seeing how Cabela's price hike will impact the rest of the marketplace, whether they'll do the same for the other brands/types of 22 ammo, and especially whether Walmart and other big players will follow suit with price hikes. Obviously the daily purchase limits aren't working to quench the market's thirst for more ammo, in fact it just aggravates people into buying and consuming more than what they really need.
Who knows. One thing I'm fairly sure of though, is that the Blazers being so easily available is a sign that some major changes in the marketplace are just ahead. Probably price hikes across the board that will alleviate the shortage, followed by some easing in prices back to somewhere between the price hike levels and where they used to be before.

I think it only applies to the market here on this thread. If the blazers hit Gunbot with a working backdoor link you can be sure they will be gone within minutes. The Blazers at Cabela's keep coming up in stock, which has been going on for a few days now. I see they just hit Gunbot (1:20am PST) however the supplied link takes you to the main webpage which shows Sold Out. Looking at Gunbot goes to show you where the market as a whole is right now... Notice everything under 15 cents per round is sold out? And if anything shows up under 10 cpr it's gone within minutes. Look at Gunbroker also as a reference to where the market is. I personally think we are still a LONG way off from stabilization.
EDIT: The Gunbot link to the main page for the Blazers now shows In Stock. Let's see how long they last... Also keep in mind it is the middle of the night as well.Last edited by Lamski; 03-01-2014, 2:27 AM.Comment

Also remember it does not show up on Cabelas' "normal" website. There are no listings on "rimfire". In fact you can't find rimfire right now as there are no offerings. Only a small percentage of shooters know about the "back door" purchases. Even so, it seems like Blazer has been available all week at C.
Go to gunbot and click on the Blazer link. Find the "rimfire ammunition" under "SPRING GREAT OUTDOOR DAYS" and click on it. There's no listing for the Blazer on their "normal" website.

Also, it is now listed on the "charts".

Still not up on slickguns after being up all day.

The sequence of availability has always been - back door, charts, rimfire website. Usually by the time it gets posted on the rimfire website it's gone. Same thing happens at Gander website.

Winchester Mags are up and a $1 off.

I'm sure it's already been asked, but I'm not going to search thru 350 pages of posts, but how long do you guys think it will be before Cabela's sees what's going on and puts a stop to it? BTW, I've been a Cabela's Black cardholder for years and it's the only card we use but until I found this thread I was only scoring ammo on a hit and miss basis. In fact my ammo scores were worse than my range center hits @ 7 yards
.
However thanks to you guys this backdoor shopping cart thing has helped me score over 2K rounds in less than 2 weeks. But again, I just wonder how long it will last before they put a stop to it. Or maybe they don't care. They just buy and sell.
And also, I bet for every guy that has posted on this thread there are dozens if not hundreds throughout the country that only browse, but gather the good info and move on with it.
But thanks to those of you who have shared this knowledge.

Won't work for me although I'm not sure how to go from comparison Chart to checkout either. Actually a few items show a price besides the Blazer but none stay in the cart using the common links.

So we can hit this pre-populated 22 order once per day and when you check out it will show you what's in stock and you're good to go?
Limited to once per day?
If so, this is awesome. I just ordered some blazer.
I concur, so this is the secret to folks getting stuff during the madness.

Why buy Blazers after the price increase?
it's smaller increase with the Cabela's card and it still works out to about .06 a round. Most people that shoot .22 would snap up ANY .22 at that price. AND the fact that it's CCI and may be better quality? I'll buy it every time I can get it!
I'll pass along any "extra" to others I know that don't have this figured out...
Will they close the back door?
How this all works is a pretty fundamental part of their web design. And it works well in the general case. They are not going to fix something that is not "broken" in the general case. A few people buying .22 using the web site in unique way isn't likely to prompt a change.
oh and I did grab another brick at 12:01 am.
Have a great day guys!
