I currently have more than 11,000 rounds waiting for me to pick up. Lets see gas is currently at $3.39 so if I divide that by 11,000 it adds another .0003 cents per round. You are right the shipping is costing me money.

Great to see stuff in stock.
I'm not buying because I have plenty at this point.

You gotta keep other stuff in your cart.

I don't think Midway is too bad on some stuff.

I just ordered 2 magazines and it was only $4.63 for shipping. They were moved by UPS and delivered by USPS.
Well think of it this way, go to most any online retailer and order one inexpensive item and the shipping will be high in comparison to the price of the item. Order more items the price of the products to price of the shipping is less.

I am hoping Midway changes their limit to 2 bricks of .22 per person per batch in stock. That would make things significantly more reasonable.

I wouldn't mind having some CCI standard velocity, (Gander Mountain $4.99 per 50), but I see that midways price for 100 packs of standard velocity is $6.99, (when it is in stock). Has anybody found the 100 packs for $6.99 in stock recently.

For those who are not happy with gander mountain I have been more than happy. Two orders of Cci mini mags have arrived flawless and well packed as well as 10 235 rd winchesters

I look at the $9 the same as if inhabits pay sales tax here at a local retail store so I don't sweat it especially since all my orders have been 80-100 bucks

Gun cleaning supplies, targets, whatever. Also Midway often has limit 2 target loads of 9mm, .40, and 45 acp. Add a few of those to your cart too before checkout too.

I still think Cabelas is the best place to get .22 lr ammo when they have it, pre panic price and cheap shipping(around $5 for a 500 round brick).
              NOOOO!!

As Californians it is our duty to ignore common sense. We are required to put a single item into our cart, a heavy brick of ammo that costs a lot to ship cross country, and then whine like little spoiled girls because Midway wont eat the shipping cost and take a loss for my single tiny sale.

Midway, sheesh. Who do they think they are charging prepanic reasonable prices and a fair amount for shipping? What nerve, they are nothing but a bunch of scam artists. I want everything handed to me for free, who needs capitalism.........

When I add the high cost of shipping to Midway orders and compare it to Ganger I find that Ganger is way below Midway in putting ammo on my doorstep. Capitalism works two ways -the seller making a profit and the buyer not buying and giving the seller no profit.

So why does it cost Midway so much to ship a small package compared to other companies? I have bought from Midway when I had another free shipping item and that works great. But I'm not going to buy something I don't need just to get free shipping. Not when buying that item puts it higher than just buying ammo from Gander.

Everybody craps on shipping this shipping that. It's not all about shipping folks. If you think you got a deal because you paid $9.99 shipping on those Winchesters for $19.99 each with a limit of 3, guess what you didn't because they are normally $9.99 each. So you paid $30 more than you should have, but I guess the $9.99 shipping makes that all better.

I guess 22 just grows on trees where you live. Or you're just one of the hoarders with 50,000 rounds stashed away that you feel the need to talk ****. When you have kids bugging you when you're gonna take me shooting you do what you have.

Right - you have to do the math and figure out total cost per round. But all other things equal some sellers do have consistently higher shipping rates.

                          tcd511, I apologize.

It was never my intent to talk crap to you or to anyone else on this board. I just used your post as an example that cheap shipping or expensive doesn't make something a good deal or a dealbreaker. I was just trying to share info.

I know how you feel about not having ammo when your kid wants to go shoot, and you have to run around all the local stores and LGS's trying to get anything only to end up with nothing but a disappointed look on you kid's face.

Again I apologize. It was never my intent to talk crap, insult or make anyone feel bad.

Gotta love how those who are prepared are being called "hoarders" by those who didnt see the rain coming.
