I've not used Gander, but there are two notes of interest on that offer .. 3) One $9 surcharge will be added to orders containing ammunition, and 5) Additional discounts do not apply.
So it's possible that the $10 GMT10 discount cannot be applied to offset their egregious ammo "Surcharge" of $9.
Since the M-14 and M-60 have both been "basically" retired from our arsenal, perhaps the difference between XM80 and M80 is no longer significant. I read one blog where the author said that the "X" means it's re-manufactured .. really .. lol. The only consensus I've found is .. that LC 7.62x51 Brass is excellent for reloading.

I still think Gander is the better value than Midway or Cabela's just based on the fact that they have limits of ten instead of one. Free shipping over $50, and if you make it to $100, a ten dollar deal sounds even better. Even with the $9 surcharge. And yes, LC 7.62 brass commands a good price for resale. Sold a bunch off earlier this yearYou can give peace a chance...

Whether you prep for your family, your kids, yourself, or your scout troop... it is your business. More power to you. I did get annoyed by flippers earlier on, but as the word gets out about ammo availability online, it is more of a lack of knowledge on the part of the buyers. It is to the point where there is no excuse for paying too much unless you so rich it doesn't matter to you. But I still wouldn't buy ammo out of a trunk at Applebee's or whatever. If I was loaded I would just pay a roomful of nerds to click for me.Comment

I undrstand that its not always economically feasible to recycle everything all the time, especially in the field. But for static locations such as shooting ranges and training areas it would make sense to try to offset costs, especially on the scale our govetnment plays/practices. I know the entire contractor, supplier chain is so convoluted that civilian contractors probably figure its not worth the hassle to deal with even getting set up to make a few pennies in the long run. Just another example of government waste. Yet they push recycling, energy efficiency, green buildings, etc. And yes I agree about selling on your end it would be essentially stealing. Even though it is cast offs. Like people taking stuff from curbside recycle bins."I don't work for you!" - Joe Biden
