    Thats awesome!

Is it wrong to let folks know about a private party lead on this thread? The guy's got several thousand rounds he's gonna offload. If you're in the SJ area.

I respectfully disagree. This thread is for "finds" from retailers, not private sales. If its a private sale, it needs to go in the Ammo Classifieds.

Some not so great prices, but in stock ammo, .22lr.

                Ammo Bros Ontario

Hi! Does anyone know what is the best time to go to Ammo Bros in Ontario to score some 22LR? Is there a specific day or time i should get there? Its about a 40 min drive for me so i want to increase my chances of gettting some ammo?

                Thanks in advance!

                Matt

                  Hey Everyone,

Thanks for your feedback. I can see Paper's point and I can see other people's points. If it were a small amount of rounds 1-2k I'd feel more inclined to agree with Paper. But this is a supply of about 8.4k rounds of federal bulk pack 525 36gr blue box still sealed.

Also in the context of my fellow calgunners scrounging for ammo at prices north of 15 cents per round you all can see why I was torn.

Any who, I’m a nub and I got respect for our senior calgunners points. I posted up the info in the private ammo sales.

Haven't heard of the ammo before but cheaper than dirt has 500 for $99.99. Kind of expensive but if you need it. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/AMM-0552

I have purchased a lot of ammo from CheaperThanDirt in the past. With that ad they have just lost any of my future business. I purchase around 25,000 rounds per year. Not chump change. They are being unethical charging that much for that bulk ammo.

100% of calgunners wont be shopping at Cheaper than dirt when this "ammo shortage" is over. the dirt they must be talking about must be from the peninsula where the average home is 600k
its better to be judged by twelve, than to be carried by six.

To be honest, I think most of us will have short term memories if the price is right. If their prices drop down to be "cheaper than dirt" in the future, I think many here will be willing to shop there again.

Midway emailed me back today re: the dented cans. Gave me the option of sending them back and putting replacement cans on back order. I take that as a sign that .22 LR is going to e hard to find at reasonable prices for quite a while yet.

Even Target Sports USA has bumped there prices up on a few 22 items. That alone is a concern for me. When these guys are raising prices that means there looking at higher costs to them to purchase for resale. Target Sports has been really competitive over the last few years and have held pre scare prices till now and I know people have issues with Dirt for a lot of reasons but there prices have held pretty steady to. I got 2000 rnds of Aguila Super Colibri's for about 84.00 bucks in January and I have now seen those go up a lot across a lot of sites.
