"Product is available for order, but will not ship until we receive it from the manufacturer. The "Date expected in stock" is provided as an indicator of when we expect the product to arrive. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship the product and you will receive an email when that happens."Comment

If you place a back order with Midway, make sure that you update your credit card information with Midway if something changes with your card such as the expiration date (or anything else). When Midway receives the product you ordered, they will then charge the card. If the card doesn't go through, for any reason, your order will be cancelled on the spot. They will not notify you that something is wrong with your card. They will not give you an opportunity to update the card information. Your order will be treated as if it never existed, even if you waited for months for the product to arrive.
So, if you want the product, keep your card info current with Midway!==================================================

That is really great of Midway to offer backorders again on some items. They must understand that people want to be able to shoot without playing games of musical mouse clicking to get their ammo.Comment

Natchezss.com has winchestef M22 for $57. If you also get the 500 rd thunderbolts shipping to SD is about $18. Total of about 7.7 cents per round for te 1500 rounds.Comment

Yes, Midway shipping sucks. Everyone knows the drill.

I know it's off-topic... but I've been noticing the strangest thing the last few weeks.
I've gone to purchase a handful of small parts to complete a few builds I've got going... and everytime I do this, I load up the cart in 3 or 4 different web sites to compare the prices with shipping and such. (and check for backorders).
Usually, Brownells would kick Midway's butt every time on the shipping, but lately, Midway has gone cheaper. It's very odd.
Perhaps Larry Potter realized that paying $10 to ship a $2.00 spring is silly. *shrugs*Comment

Shipping isn't crazy on everything it just sucks if you are doing just a 1 brick ammo order. Plus if you buy less than $25, there is a special handling fee of $3.I know it's off-topic... but I've been noticing the strangest thing the last few weeks.

One of my orders from them a couple weeks ago was scope rings and a 50 count factory 2nd Shoot and C's and shipping was only $1.Comment

Bah...
All you need to do is pick out some cheap stuff to add in to your cart to spread out the shipping costs.
I picked up some hats and a shemagh/scarf from Midway and placed a brick of subsonic and 10 boxes of 22lr subsonic in my cart. $5 hats and $6 scarf I'm willing to justify to myself that those hats and scarf is now $7 and $8 now. I'd have purchased those for my inflated price if they were in a store around here anyway.Comment

Yeah I always have a couple items I need in my Midway cart waiting for a brick of .22 lr to come in stock, best way to do it.
Been a slow .22 lr week I haven't got anything yet.Comment

That's cool - do what you like. I don't like buying stuff I don't want and wouldn't buy just to make myself feel better about shipping that cost the same as the ammo I really want. When I do this with MIDWAY it is with other calibers of ammo I need and I still calculate the cost per round delivered.Bah...

If you are trying to plan ahead and stock up on tens of thousands of rounds of .22 that's an investment of thousands of dollars... personally I don't want to end up with thousands of dollars of camouflage scarves, folding knives, or hats, etc... that's just me. I have better things to buy before 2014 rolls around. If you are just after a brick at a time or a 100 pack and don't have a calculator, to each his own.
MIDWAY has some good deals, but they could increase the limits or ease up on the practice of releasing one deal at a time to force multiple orders and lots of shipping charges. More free shipping or reduced shipping codes would work too.Last edited by crufflers; 10-24-2013, 1:57 PM.Comment
