    I need a LIFE!!

I checked out MIDWAY USA's backorder .22 more closely and they DO have a lot of affordable rounds for sure.

I made a 4000 round TEST order of the sane affordable stuff like mini-mag RN, Armscorp, Golden Bucket, Choot 'em 375 bulk pack, Golden Bullet 525, etc... $26 to ship it all.

4000 rounds backordered for $248 delivered = .062 per round (with a brick of mini-mags in there)

Pretty good deal as long as you are ok with a mixed bag of ammo types.

Problem is crufflers. They will ship it as they get it and charge you shipping on each shipment

I agree! It is an excellent way to order ammo if you don't want to be constantly checking online AND you are OK with waiting.

Better yet... here's a MIDWAY backorder that I might actually place.

            Federal 38 grain HV HP 500, Choot 'ems 375, mini-mag RN 100, Golden Bucket 1400, Golden 525...

            2900 rounds delivered for $168 ($145.65+$22.55 shipping)

.058 per round delivered for the stuff I like

Yeah if they do this it would be a deal breaker for me... assuming it would be $15+ per order... the dates are all different for expected arrival.

Proceed at your own risk. BUT I tend to assume they shipping quote they give you is solid... or they would have a lot of P.O'd customers.

MIDWAY is trying to do better... that's what the whole DEALER prices going away and cheaper shipping strategy is about. Otherwise Cabela's is going to stomp them.

You have to know that ALL the ammo from various sites like MIDWAY goes on my CABELA'S card - as do lots of other firearms and non-firearms related purchases.

That's where the bonus points come from which equals free ammo. You do have to pay that bill though. The points roll in after you pay off the balance, so I try to use it like AMEX and pay it off each month.

The points return is so good I want to pay my mortgage with it.

I would imagine that even if their shipping system initially charged shipping on each item, that a call to Midway Customer Service would make it right. And, if it didn't, you could easily cancel all of your backorders. Unlike some, backorders are easy to cancel online with Midway.

Take a look at their backorder policy. I believe it states if you are waiting for other backorders, they will hold what they have received for 90 days before shipping. After that you are correct.

Anyone trying this out at MIDWAY use the "GOY1013" code for $10 off 100 or GOY2013 $20 off $200 or RMEF1330 $30 off $300... and let us know what your final cost per round delivered was.

Really? I just received my card and have used it on Cabelas site 5-6 times already. But I haven't used it "off site" yet. Interesting.

I think that Midway coupon codes are only good for in-stock items, not backorders. I also don't think they work for anything that has quantity limits.

YES! It is just a credit card. Use it at the gas station.

Half the stuff I put on the card is from other businesses, though most has been gun related since that tends to be the most expensive stuff I buy lately.

I always put Gander and Midway orders on it and of course Cabela's orders.

Yeah I see that now. It wasn't working for me, but it said I was the "wrong customer type". I am still a "dealer". I just had Customer Service switch me back to retail and it still won't work.

I am going to pass on the backorder... that $168 pays for my Spanish Mauser I ordered (on my Cabela's Card) and I need to slow my roll.
