If you're talking about how they are the number one biggest retail store in the world by about 300% then yea I would say they exist in their own reality and definitely would say they have their heads on straight with their business tactics

People get excited over M22. Is this because it is $25 or $32 a brick (.064 or less from Gander and less from other places)? Or have people tested it and found it is reliable?
I only ask because I am not a fan of Winchester rimfire ammo in general, and I have very small amounts of M22 (1000), and Super-X (400) to test but haven't taken these out to the range yet. Or the 42 MAX Powerpoint stuff either - I think I have a few bricks of that too.Comment

M22 is a decent HV 22lr round. You won't get the same accuracy you can get with CCi STD past 50 yards but you can plink and have fun with it

I was told they get shipments in at night and stock shelves for next day, you have to get there early if there's any ammo that comes in. They obviously don't get enough to supply the demand - my two local stores, Orange and Brea, are always out of everything. I've given up even looking. I don't shop there much anyway - my breakfast cereal is cheap there...that's about it. LOL.In my opinion, Walmart is a LOT different than other ammo retailers. To me, Walmart exists in its own special reality that has no correlation to business sense. My experience with many different Walmart stores and employees in the Sporting Goods sections of Walmarts mainly in SoCal, but also in other parts of the country, is that each individual store has their own set of ammo "rules". Some stock at 7AM, some at 4PM, and some at 8PM. Some don't stock on weekends, some won't sell ammo after 9PM. And, almost always, there are customers lurking around the ammo cabinets hoping for the magical appearance of whatever ammo they are hoping to buy. I think that ammo sales give a real sense of empowerment to Walmart employees, and I think most really enjoy it!
Of course they lie.

Stopped at Big5 in Orange, talked to store manager, he says they get stock Monday nignts, put out what they have to open Tuesday mornings. I said oh, I'll stop by at lunch and he replied 'it would all be gone by then'.
I don't stop there anymore either.

It seems that the amount of 22 LR items that can be backordered is shrinking at Midway. A few days ago there were 79 items that could be put on backorder, now there are 66. Just a heads up in case you are thinking about placing a backorder.Last edited by wlowe; 11-23-2013, 1:09 PM.Comment

Yeah Midway limits the number of backorders then allow on any given item, act fast if you want to get in line on a case or two.Comment
