How much were they selling it for?

So I just emailed Gander Mtn also:

Wondering why I cannot get ammunition shipped to my address in CA. Nothing has changed regarding the law in CA as far as shipping ammunition other than municipal codes in certain metropolitan areas such as SF, LA etc. I have purchased a considerable amount of ammunition from this establishment and would hate to have to curtail spending my money here because of political pressure or an erroneous view of CA laws.
              Sincerely,
              X Xxxxxxxxx

We'll see what they write back if anything. My bet is it's another canned response.

If it's too much trouble to do a half hour's worth of googling to keep our business... Fcuk them.

So that was fast... Here's Gander's reply:

Thank you for your recent email. I will be happy to assist you. I apologize for the
inconvenience, but we have recently removed our restrictions to send ammunition to
California. You should now be able to order and ship ammunition to that state. We
had an error earlier but have resolved that and lifted the ban on shipping to that
state. Again, I do apologize. If you need any further assistance or have an
questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for choosing Gander Mountain
                  and have a great day!

                  Sincerely,
                  Cody B.

                  So everything should be good...

EDIT: Just tried with some stuff in my cart, and still no go....

They probably have a threshold set on how many "complaints" they'll ignore before they really have to look again at their new policy. If we keep hitting them, they may take a second look. I'm kinda feeling this has already been bumped up a level on their side.

Orchardhills response was a little less generic than mine or others here, and they are admitting there is some sort of confusion. I've spent more money than I care to admit within the past 2 months just with them alone (not counting other vendors like Midway, Cabelas, etc) than I did the whole of 2012 on just ammo I'm pretty sure they will be checking into order histories.

I understand they that they are a business and have a right to make their own policies. But if they are a company that makes their policies on falsehoods which they dont seem to bother even verifying, and say us Californians are too much of a hassle to cater to, I'd question myself why I would want to do business with them over someone else than is more CA friendly.

LOL ...man I type too slow.

Oh and Gandermountain can go pound sand for awhile unless they start selling Mini-mags for $6/100 and waive that freakin ammo fee.

I tried buying the CBs just now and the restriction is still up. I also left a complaint.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

I think just the lead ammo for hunting ban went to brown. Not ban on online sales.

Correct SB53 the online ammo mail order ban is dead for the season so it will not be a issue again for a year.
