Called Gander Mountain this morning...

There's was a little polite beating around the bush...

...they won't say it - but I will.

Whoever updated the website and inventory to make Winchester Super-X available probably thought CA had a ban on lead ammunition.

So I took the time to make it clear to the rep I talked to:

1. No ban in general.
2. Restricted ban for hunting use only in a finite region of Southeast CA.
3. Does not apply to range target shooting in same region.

High Velocity Copper Plated Lead Round Nose ammunition remains the hardest to get because it ensures maximum compatibility and reliability with all high velocity .22LR firearms.

Hollow points are everywhere - hence the Federal cans at Cabela's. My second can shipped out yesterday...

This morning I tried to purchase some 22 bird shot from Gander Mountain just to see if my order would go through. Again it said that the item could not be delivered to my area.

So I called Gander Mountains customer service and the lady talked with their ammo supervisor and said that on Oct. 1 there were some laws enacted that restricted ammo sales to a few different states including California.

Anybody have any information about these new laws?

EDIT: I just tried ordering some ammo from Cabelas with no hangups, I'm thinking Gander Mountain has their facts wrong.

The shipping for the order I placed yesterday for 500 rounds of Thunderbolts and a pack of Shoot N See targets was only $13.

A couple months ago shipping was close to $20 for a brick.

If you read the previous posts you will see that this has been an ongoing problem since yesterday. We all need to call Gander Mountain customer service and get this fixed.
